I mean, I think over-spending on any Amiibo is pretty dumb. But lol, what can I say. They make me and my GF really happy. And given all the shit I've been through, I dunno. lol
I don't think $25 is THAT bad...considering scalping prices. But yeah, it will be bad if you can just walk into a store on Feb 1st and get them for $12 with zero hassle. I will feel dumb. Absolutely.
I haven't paid more than 13.99 on a single amiibo.
That's how patient I am on stuff like this, especially if it's stuff that's currently coming out.

EDIT: I agree, when stuff is currently out (or not even out), it's always best to just wait and see if you can actually get them in store. Makes no sense to 100% buy before. But alas, I just wanted to cut out any worry. That alone, was enough to entice me. I now know I have Rosalina and Shulk on lock. Now I can just go hunting for everything else.

Amiibo Wave 3 officially released tomorrow in Europe. Going to Toys R Us, Argos, GAME and ASDA early to snag some (even though I have some coming today)
Same. It's all paid off so far. No more than RRP (£14.99) is my goal. Managed to get all of Wave 1 and 2 at around £10 each.
Psh, no one cares about EU. All about NA. Going to ignore all of you until NA so I don't have to see you guys posting pics. La la la you guys don't exist.
EDIT: Ya'll made me feel bad, so I cancelled my Shulk order. Will just try to find him in store on the 1st and pay retail. Seriously doubt I will be able to find one though.

Will just try to go on the 1st. I am 99.9% sure I won't be able to get on for retail price though. I think all GS here will only have pre-orders and no extras.

The only amiibo I've regretted buying was Capt. Falcon off eBay for $26, 3 days later, Toys R us had 4 in stock at my local store

Fair enough. I approached it differently. Places like Toys R Us(at least here), Argos and Supermarket chains (ASDA and Tesco) don't have pre-orders on their website. Basically meaning that the only way to obtain your desired Amiibos is to physically go to the store. So while everyone is a scrambling to get orders from Shopto, GAME and Amazon, I'll just go to those places that stock the shelves and don't take online reservation.
If there's anywhere you know that stocks Amiibos but doesn't take online pre-orders it's worth making sure your first in line on launch day.
At least that's what I hope will happen tomorrow.

Usually don't care (about spending money), but now I feel all shitty for over-spending on a $12 toy. So I cancelled it.
Our issue in NA, is they keep giving away amiibos exclusively to these scumbag corporations that are shady as fuck, and who push awful business practices. So this isn't really an issue about places stocking the shelves. You literally can ONLY get Shulk at this ONE corporation. And they are only filling pre-orders and not getting any extras.

Azula is trying to full set like a mad man, it's admirable. I couldnt do it haha.
Shulk is my 2nd favorite character to play in SSB. And yes, I loved Xenoblade. As far as the collection insanity goes, I've kind of already made up my mind that I want to try to get the entire collection.
BUT...I'm not going to lose my mind over it. I'm not that worried about missing out. Like, if I can't get an amiibo, oh well. Not a big deal. Not going to stress out anymore. Pretty much where I'm at with it. I'm more so, just frustrated and annoyed by how they are being sold over here. But I'm not stressing or being sad over it (I was just joking earlier).
Although yeah, on a personal level, I actually do want Shulk.

Don't think of it as a 12.00 toy, think of it as one piece of your soon to be awesome collection, makes me feel better about it. Also you're giving it to good guys like Play-asia and not scumbag scalpers at least.

Yeah completely! I really have no idea why the heck NoA are doing this retail exclusive Stupidity. Some Amiibos are hard enough already but making them limited to one chain only is utter BS. I don't even live in NA is and it annoys me.
Seems like people are looking out for each other on here anyway so you'll get something.
I decided to get one to go with my MH4U bundle because tax season I right around the corner.
I´m fairly confident that if I go to a Target at opening that day I can get one, but I´m still not sure I need NEED it... I won´t be forced to buy a n3ds until Xenoblade (Or codename STEAM)
Opportunities will pop up if there is a demand for these items, but I can't say that for everything. I'm always late to the news, but I've been lucky so far:
-Nabbed Marth on Amazon a few days after Smash Wii U launched
-Got Little Mac pre-ordered by BB a few days before it came out (and fulfilled)
-Got Pit ordered on Christmas day
-Ordered Villager and WFT & extra Pit, Fox, and Marth from B&H
Plus, deals are popping up for these things, although I wished that I had gotten Peach and Pikachu when they were dirt cheap on some site a week or two ago.

Yeah. It's pretty disheartening to know that, you can't even get a certain amiibo because only ONE store has it, and they are only filling pre-orders. Like fuckin NoA. That shit is ridiculous.
I feel guilty about it, but seeing it sold out so fast and knowing I got one kinda boosts my ego lol.

Oh, I understand and enjoying the monster bit. I have two limited editions (The ones with the Skull Kid). The original plan was one for me and one for my GF, but now I´m thinking of just keeping one and selling the other. I even offered it on the B/S/T at an outrageous price to see if someone bites.
Also I know I can just take it to mexico and selling for a reasonable profit, about 20 bucks I think, people go crazy for limited editions here. But since I have to be careful with my money now, this amiibo addiction means I can´t run the risk of overriding my credit.
Ah that's totally understandable.
I put money aside for all the amiibos already too lol, so I know those funds are good to go for that. I tend to plan out my finances/bills per paycheck like 3-6 months in advance so i'm always on top of everything. It's a little neurotic, but i've never missed a beat in money matters thankfully.
