Went looking around Brussels and Leuven for Wave 3 Amiibo. Media Markt Brussels, FNAC Brussels, Bart Smit Brussels, Carrefour Korbeek Lo and Game Mania Leuven had not a single Wave 3. Fun Korbeek Lo had a single Lucario and Media Markt Woluwe had everything with a lot of spares except Rosalina. They also had one Lucario that had fallen in its packaging. They also have the worst stickers on them so no way I would buy one here. Have them all ordered on Amazon anyway outside of Rosalina.
Got my Captain Falcon through Bart Smit today and Amazon FR was so kind to deliver my Toon Link, which is amazing considering I ordered it on Thursday. The other Amazon FR package is a bit slower, that is for Monday. Still very happy with them considering their speed. They easily beat Amazon DE and they're faster than my usual UK orders.

The only thing I got out of it is that Mario amiibo will not be available to purchase separately.
Only The Mario figure is going to be timed exclusive to the bundle, all the other Super mario amiibos are going to be available as standalones. Mario itself is going to be available as a standalone later on.
Its also not a retail exclusive and it works exactly the same as the smash amiibo.

Honestly, having a Captain Toad Amiibo exclusive to the game would have been a smart thing for Nintendo to do. That game deserves the sales and if they had included both for $40, it would have been a great value.
I just bought these at Home Depot. I've gotten the same one before from Ikea, but both died on me only months later.

amiibo has proved to be a huge success... then why the heck Nintendo doesn't produce more figures to meet demand?? I've been going through so much pain trying to pre-order amiibo from wave 3, they got delayed here in Mexico and we don't even have the whole set of wave 2. Captain Falcon doesn't exist in here! I'm at nothing to give up on amiibo and stop supporting them because of how difficult are to find. I'm not even aiming to own every single figure, I just want Mario, Sonic, Megaman, Pac-Man, Captain Falcon, Toon Link and Ness :'(((((( Nintendoooooooooooooooooo

I would have loved an actual captain toad instead of generic ass toad, even if bundled. The game could use the spotlight and I could just give the game away since I already own it.

I thought I had alerts set up for Rosalina, but I got no email and missed it. I'm worried the same will happen for Meta Knight and Lucina, how can I make sure I get in early and how long before release have pre-orders traditionally gone up in the past?

Yup, the physical retail version of Pikmin 3 is discontinued by Nintendo. Its sold out almost everywhere I go shopping, actually picked up my copy by luck as I seen Kmart had one (just 1 too) left in stock.
Well they're not totally perfect, but there are some with an off printed spot or whatever. My boyfriend has a Falcon that has a little black dot that looks like a mole on his face.
Just got an email from TRU confirming that my in-store Lucario preorder will be available to pick up on 1/30- this is vaguely promising! Has TRU done this for other preorders previously? This is the only one I preordered from them, and I hope they mean it when they say it'll be held for 7 days... amiibo hunting has given me severe trust issues.

Yeah I do this all the time, finally get a marth Amiibo from play-asia and his logo on the cape was smeared. Worse yet DH's that they are would not replace or even partially refund me and now they jacked the price up on him again. I prefer to buy my amiibo in person because of this and hate preordering them as there is always that chance I will get a dud, of course I do still pre-order.

It is what it is, and this isn't new. I doubt Nintendo will change any time soon.
This tendency has kind of screwed me over. I cancelled several of my preorders because I really wanted to go in store and find a perfect one like I did for my Fox

Funny thing is i think Nintendo may have changed Marths design a bit, as the newer printed JP ones have a slightly different face
I totally get that, but I've barely glanced at most of mine and done OK... I kinda like the little imperfections though! My Samus has a perfect paint job but tilts to the left a little bit and sorta looks drunk.
Absolutely - I have a Lucario coming in from Amazon France, a physical preorder card from TRU that they just sent an email confirming, AND another TRU preorder from online that is meant to ship to home. I am taking literally zero chances from here on out - I will not be in the same situation I had with WFT/Villager/Marth...

I have a feeling, when we reflect on 2015 in a few months, a lot of us are going to have negative feelings towards Nintendo (particularly NoA). It really is frustrating that certain amiibo are so difficult to find here when they're so easy every where else.
I am not out of the game, as I bought two new amiibo yesterday but I can't be bothered with NoA's lack of foresight.

Is this a worldwide situation? I'm in the UK and I was on the fence about Pikmin 3 for a long time having never played one in the series but then Nintendo <finally> released a demo and it had me completely hooked. I refuse to pay their extortionate prices on the eshop so since the demo I've been on the hunt to try and find a copy.
On-topic, managed the get Villager, Zelda and Fox from Nintendo's UK online story, ordered yesterday and arrived this morning, excellent service! Glad I acted when I did as Villager and Zelda are sold out again there.
I'm hoping Marth's reprint is improved. The first was almost laughably bad

Their Amiibo area is pathetic. Just empty racks as far as the eye can see. Walmat and Best Buy had huge areas for them, but they were like 90% sold out except for some Pikachu and Marios and maybe a couple Peaches. Interestingly, Best Buy had a spot for Marth, but not some of the other rarer ones like Pit. Target was well stocked, but only had half a dozen varieties, mostly just Mario Characters, Diddy and Link.

My Gamecube Adapaters arrived today, didn't realize how small they are. I have extras and would like to trade for Amiibos I don't have as opposed to selling them on eBay/Amazon.

I looked at 20 DK before I found one with a perfect face. He had a tiny smudge on one of his arm but it was acceptable.
I can't expect perfect for the price but I am still surprised about how hard it is to find one for some models.
Not too worried about wave 3.
I have everything preordered from Amazon.ca and ebgames, Meta Knight from BB, Rosalina and Lucario are coming from France and play-asia. They'll all arrive some day.
Now wave 4 is another story... I think i'm just going to preorder from Euro or Japan for those...
