I was able to find Lucario cards at a Toys R Us at Frederick, MD. If you live in the area, they had several for now, but I warn that the employees want to get them for themselves and the guy said no one had asked about it YET. That means scalpers might not have gotten there yet.

In lieu of this, I have a card for myself and Christopher (he requested one) and I have 5 extras I've bought for gaffers. Say so if you'd like one for me to get for you. I don't know how Toys R Us works with their pre-orders so keep in mind they might do the shittyness of making me race there to get it because they don't ACTUALLY hold it for you (like some of this best buy nonsense).

I did but above posters already got em :( Sorry. I think there are more gaffers in the MD area so they might be able to get some. If they have extra amiibos on the delivery day I might get more just in case for more gaffers.
 
For those in Texas, I had good luck at HEB of all places. Picked up Little Mac today on impulse and they had a few left.

If Lucario preorders go back up on toysrus.com sometime again before launch (already happened once) and I manage to get one in I'll let you know so you can give my preorder to someone else.
 
Anyone else tried Walmart in the US to see if they restocked on WFT? I'm going to stop by after work but I won't be holding my breath. Also, how's Walmart's pre-order reputation? Sounds like BB is cancelling left and right on people. Walmart.com currently have Ike, Dedede, and Megaman up for preorder from what I can tell.
 
Definitely worried about my Little Mac pre-order at Best Buy. I got it for shipping though but the status of it is "Not Available" according to my order status page. The rest of wave 2 has a 12/30 release date status.
 
At Best Buy now. It certainly sounds like an employee tried to jack my order. Will continue to update.

Edit: yup, that's what happened. Luckily the store couldn't sell it to the asshole. It is now locked up with my name on it for tomorrow and the manager is going to have a talk with the associate that did it.
 
Just bought Pit at a local Media Markt in Germany. They also had the rest of wave 1 & 2, but it was their last Pit.

I love it! Sakurai has single-handedly turned Pit into one of my favourite Nintendo characters.
 
Sorry for asking, but does the Toon Link amiibo also unlock the Spinner weapon in Hyrule Warriors as well as the Mii costume for Mario Kart 8? If so I might get Toon Link instead and wait for a better pose for Adult Link.

Yep! Toon Link and regular Link function exactly the same for games outside of Smash so far.
 
Been checking various Toys 'R Uses, Targets, and Best Buys for a Diddy Kong amiibo over the past few days with no luck - until today! I was visiting my parents in Thousand Oaks (CA.), so I decided to check the local Best Buy just for kicks, and they had just one left! Nabbed it immediately. <3

Not weird. Similar to Targets reservation system. Target doesn't even take your email. You just pay a buck for the card and then bring it back on release date. They know how many to put aside by the number of reservation cards scanned in their system. Only thing that makes Toys R Us better is that they email you when the item arrives for pickup.

At Target, you get a 5 dollar gift card back once you pickup and pay for the item. So there is that too.

Do you think they'll put out a card for Rosalina? If so, I'd rather do that than go online.

Mine says

Order Status:: 1 item(s) preordered, release date is 12/19/2014.

With a green check that says preparing shipment.

I ordered 12/09.

Edit: it's been like that since yesterday or two days ago.

They might. I've only ever seen reservation cards for games not for figurines. It is exclusive so that may be something special for them to do. I would bet they wouldn't put a card out until January though.

Grab it, hold on to it and return the one you get from Best Buy if it ever reaches you. So many issues people are having with them. Do you want to risk it is the real question.

this x10000000 or send to a gaffer after holidays die down and mail is normal. thats what i am doing with extra mac and diddy and zelda. (no claiming yet! ha)
 
I'm really tempted to pre-order all of the wave 3's from GameStop in case Best Buy decides to screw me again.

I already locked down Shulk the day pre-orders opened. I wonder if it's too late to get the rest through GS, I mean without having to wait for post-launch shipments. I'm sitting on a shit-ton of Bing Reward points, enough for at least three GameStop $5 gift cards. That'd offset not getting my GCU discount a little.

Okay, that makes me feel a little better. I thought I basically just paid them $1 to send me an email. At least they will (seemingly) hold them at a 1:1 ratio with sold cards.

Wow an associate actually tried to steal your order? Maybe all these horror stories about Best Buy employees selling items to other people are just the employees keeping it for themselves. :/

Well shit, I had no idea it was glitch. I saw a link to it from somewhere (I can't remember now) so I went ahead and pre-ordered Falcon, Sonic and Mega Man.

I'm gonna be mighty pissed / bummed out if my order gets cancelled after all this time.
