Snagged a Diddy from Gamestop to go with the Little Mac I got earlier from Toys R Us. Today has just been my lucky day!

EDIT: for everyone in NA, has there been any concrete confirmation that Sunday will be the day the other 3 (Luigi, Falcon and Pit) will be released? Also, if ordered on Amazon/Amazon Prime will they be delivered the day of?

There's something in the ad about wave 2 being available Friday, and since it's the Sunday ad for 12/14, it implies that they would be available 12/19 which lines up with the Little Mac emails about release date change. I haven't seen the actual ad so it's not really clear. It kind of seems like Best Buy is trying to adapt to the success of the lesser known Amiibo. I don't even think they had listings for Villager, Marth, and WFT until a week after they launched.
 
I snagged the last Diddy Kong at my local Toys R Us and he was a non-derpy once so score!. They only had one tray for him meaning that they probably only 3 or 4 figures. Zelda had two trays but there was only one figure left.
There were about 4 or 5 Lil Macs surprisingly but didn't get him since I have him preordered; now I'm crossing fingers so that Best Buy won't screw up my preorder.
Since Toys R Us was having a B1GO 40% I got Donkey Kong as well :D

I ordered on Amazon when they first became available. Zelda is currently getting ready to ship with a Wednesday delivery. The other 5 are still set to "not yet shipped"
 
Well apparently Toys R Us took back my Yoshi amiibo I ordered from them. That would explain why it hasn't gotten to me yet!

Just ordered him and a Little Mac amiibo online at Gamestop. I wanted to get Little Mac and I don't want to risk it if he ends up becoming the next Marth/Villager/WFT. Will probably end up getting Pit for the same reason when he's out (character I like that I don't want to miss out on if they become rare).

I thought I'd be able to control myself but noooooo.
 
I was so afraid! I was in the "so... Amiibo" thread, I refreshed after dinner and everyone was gone!

Thankfully I found you guys again AND I scored a Zelda 😁 though it wasn't that hard...
 
Oh man my wife got me good. She was at Walmart so I called and asked her to run over to electronics to see which characters they had. She starts naming off all the wave one non-rare characters. Then she nonchalantly says there's a Samus (pronouncing it as Say-mus) with two blue arms for some reason. For about two seconds my heart stopped but then I remembered that a few days back I had mentioned it to her briefly. I couldn't help but laugh since she rarely "gets" me.

I think after Christmas they'll be quite a bit easier to find. I also think some characters will see a reprint.

With that said I think Fox is the best looking figure of all the ones released so far.

I've got Kirby, Fox, Link and Villager. I think they're insanely fun to use in Smash and I kind of expected them to suck with that Dynamic. The fact that these can be used in so many different games makes me enjoy these more than say Infinity or Skylanders where I thought the figures looked cool but didn't enjoy any of the games.
 
Just pre-ordered Shulk, Sonic, Shiek, Toon Link, Mega Man, and Bowser from GameStop.

Still need Marth, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Pit, Rosalina, and Lucario to finish off the ones I want.

So I managed to get myself a Little Mac. I called Toys R Us. They said they had 4 left in stock. A friend of mine was kind enough to drive me there. Once I got there (20ish minutes later), they had 2 left. Me and my friend bought the last two (and a bonus Kirby for me). I felt very lucky! But then, we went to Gamestop just because it was on the way, and they had 4 more Little Macs. Jeez, I was under the impression that all Gamestops were sold out of Little Macs...

Okay I fucked up and Playasia is out of stock on Marths and Villagers are backordered.
What are the cheapest options for these two?

Heck, well thanks anyway. These two are just becoming a huge headache. I'm okay paying $20~ for them but I don't feel comfortable paying the ebay prices of like $50 for Marth. 1/8 Scale figures with better paint jobs cost less than that.
 
I got a Zelda and Little Mac. Also pre-ordered Capt. Falcon just in case.
It might be old news, but the Nintendo World Store has Gamecube adapters. I saw a dude buy like 6 of them.

Check Euro-Amazon, they Pop up there every now and then-> About 15 euros
Check craiglist, sometimes people just ask for double what they cost to them -> About 30 bucks.
Check Amazon/ebay, they are selling for about 5 times its original value -> About 60 bucks
Pick a god and pray -> Free
 
Pit, Captain Falcon, and Luigi won't be around until later in the month in the US, right? I can stop worrying about Amiibos for a few days if I've got everyone?

No, but the packaging is in English (as well as other languages). It's the same packaging across Europe

The actual functionality of these things is clunky in Smash Bros. For example, to claim the prizes they earn during use, you have to scan them in. That's fine, but you can only do one at a time, and it kicks you back out to the menus after each scan. So you scan, go through all the prompta to claim the items and edit the owner, etc. Then you have to exit the screen, save back to the figure, and get booted to the menu to do it all over again.

When I play, I usually end up using anywhere from 6-8 of these things. Scanning for claiming items after each play session is getting tedious.
 
Okay, with that settled I need a villager and the rest of the wave 1 ones I need are common, but I will get soonly. (Mario, Peach, Link, Pikachu). I have every one from Wave 3 cept Lucario and Rosalina pre-ordered, and in terms of wave 2 I just have to find a Zelda, Diddy, Luigi and Cap. Falcon.

Got Zelda and Little Mac today. Also picked up WiiFit trainer this past Monday. That's all I wanted so far except Villager which I haven't found yet. I'm not even using them in game, just have them on my desk.
 
I do wonder if Marth got a restock in Europe not too long ago. One of the biggest electronics retailers in Denmark (FONA) has Marth available in 21 stores. I'm pretty sure next to no stores had him in stock just a few days ago
 
Picked up my Little Mac preorder from GameStop and went to the one across the street and boom they had one Zelda available and snagged her too. I now am only missing Mario, Pikachu, Marth and Diddy Kong.

I tried to buy Little Mac Thursday night, but the register said not eligible for sale till 12/12. Went back this morning and bought it.

I didn't see any Zeldas or Captain Falcons out though.
 
Just got Marth, $34.94...

I justified paying for shipping because of the previous sales from Toys "R" Us and Target.

I will feel much better once Captain Falcon and Pit are in my hands.

Nintendo, please.
 
Have any of you tried Frys Electronics? I haven't looked there myself since I'm not buying any from Wave 2, but I was able to buy Wii Fit Trainer and Villager there during the first week of release. Might be worth a try if it's in your area.

Nice recommendation, they still have Pit on Pre-Order if someone is missing that one. I may go tomorrow to see what else they have.
 
Just found a Villager in stock on a Danish retailer. He is by far the more rare of the three here. Ordered him, but I really don't think they have him in stock. If I do get him I can at least open my other one
