Must have had an incorrect count on him then. The target store pickup requires they actually retrieve the item, place a barcode sticker on it, and scan it into a holding area at guest service. They can't just leave it on the floor until you get there like best buy does.

they actually get shipped to the store instead of the store taking their stock so you dont have to worry about associates that dont pull preorders

Same for me. I ordered 4 amiibo, all sold in front of my eyes when I went to pick them up. Never going back there.

I'm still debating on whether or not I keep them in the box or open them. Their boxes are so nice, but I want to feel my amiibo ;_;

I think with Amiibo it's really hard to not feel uneasy regardless of where you pre-order. It sucks because on top of scalpers, you have legitimate buyers who are creating safety nets for themselves. I'm trying to limit orders for characters I think will be difficult to find. I'll either place an order of one at two different retailers or two at one retailer using different delivery methods. It sucks but retailers need to put pressure on Nintendo so they can continue to open pre-orders until they launch.

When you do store pick up don't the hold them for you?
 
I'm not sure if this has already been posted, but Amazon has this little blurb on the sales page regarding the latest batch of amiibos...

"Availability of the six Amiibos launching on 12/14 has been highly limited or delayed. We are partnering with Nintendo to secure inventory as soon as possible. If you have pre-ordered this product, we will fill your order as soon as we have inventory available. We apologize for the delay."
 
K finally got all of wave 1 besides the holy trinity (honestly just waiting to see if nintendo ships more someday before I pay a billion dollars on ebay). Oh and the best buy here is releasing wave 2 tomorrow
 
So I went out to hunt for Little Mac for like 2 hours. Went to like 6 different stores and none of them had any Little Macs. The only wave 2 amiibo most of them had were Zelda. The rest were mostly Mario, Peach, and Pikachu with a random of DK, Fox, Samus, and Kirby depending on the store. I didn't come back empty handed though. I went to a Toysrus and found 2 Diddy Kongs left so I got that instead.

Did you complain right then and there to them? I'd raise hell if I saw them literally take off the sticker and sell it to someone. Also from my experience, the merchandise is put in a different area, so I'm not even sure how it would get sold because nobody would have knowledge of the item being available since it's set aside in the pick up bins and no longer in the Electronics section. Did they move them to the pick up area, ie customer service desk, send you an email confirmation that it was ready for pick up after the email telling you they received your request for pick up, and then sold it at the customer service desk?

Yesterday I received an SMS that said I could pick up my amiibo. When I was in the store today the cashier was pulling the stickers off the boxes, so I don't know if they were stored in the pickup area.

When I noticed it were my amiibo, I told the cashier, who plain said 'too late'. I went nuts in that store and was asked to leave. The manager 'wasn't available' so yeah. I called costumer support but it won't solve what happend.

I picked up all 12, two days after release and almost returned them the next day just because I didn't know what I wanted to do. Now out of the 29, I have everything locked in except for Rosalina, Lucario, Sonic, Ike, Captain Falcon & King Dedede. I don't know whats wrong with me. I literally never preordered anything, now I have preorders in 4 stores and a spread sheet, bookmarks & e-mail alerts to keep up to date and organized. I have a problem.

My phone had the "preorder now" button lit up. Got all excited; but it said I already had the maximum (ZERO) in my cart.

Checked the computer, still no change.

Maybe the phones been like this the whole time and I never noticed.

Yeah. Availability window was probably like 4 minutes. If you added and checked out as quick as possible it worked within the first few minutes of it being live, but after that it was glitching and people were unable to add to cart.
 
Latest Update on Rosalina:

I emailed Target to ask about the preorder status. They said they only want preorders to go to the most dedicated of their shoppers. He said you have to refresh the page at least 20 times per hour for at least 24 hours before you're allowed to preorder. And make sure you've enabled cookies.

We're so close guys! Keep on F5'ing!
 
Does anyone here already have Luigi?

Does he have that stupid clear piece holding him up from his groin or not? I've seen pictures with and without. I assume its there...but id be REALLY happy if it werent.
 
I'm in real deep right now. I have them all so far but have to keep fighting myself from trying to buy them all over again, but keeping them boxed. I've never been a sucker for figure collecting before so this all feels so very new and dangerous to me.
 
Talked with our Nintendo rep at my store today. He said according to his shipping info there were still stores slated to get Marth, Villager, etc. Also that our particular store and others had a second shipment of little mac/diddy kong on the way.

TLDR: Relax guys
