Some people are incapable of understanding that apparently lol, but whatever. We don't want to open them, get over it. I have no intention of opening mine ever, so I'm right there with you. Their use in smash has no interest to me, I am collecting them and they will hold the most value unopened. I don't think I could justify buying two though but that's cool if you have the budget.
 
Just went on an Amiibo hunt. Came up empty handed on my search for Captain Falcon or Pit. Maybe I will finally break down and buy Kirby and Peach in the meantime.

It's a good store. During the Wii launch though, it was Nintendo's second launch store, whereas, the TRU in Times Square was the TRUE PRIMARY launch store.

However, they did get a restock of Marth / Villager / Wii Fit on Dec. 5th and on Dec. 17th. So that's a thing. And they do have the rare's more in stock (little mac, pit, etc.) than anywhere else.

Just got out of TRU, pretty decent sale going on with the 40% off. The guy who helped me mentioned that TRU was having a shipping dispute so they weren't getting Pit anytime soon and new figures would be tough to get to come by.

I picked up a Yoshi, Pikachu and a Diddy Kong he had in back but hasn't put out yet.

I can believe that. My toys r us had a bunch of Luigi but none of the other new ones.

Target had them but they were all sold out.

I'm just going to import. Is there any particular reason people are using amazon.fr? I usually use Amazon.de.

This would explain why I haven't seen anything new at my Toys R Us since Luigi.

I guess my daily trip to TRU ends. As I've said numerous times, just gonna wait for my Pit to come in the mail.

It's a toys r us out of the way in Concord, CA. There were like a handful of works and twenty people roaming the store total. Ghost town. Might check the target nearby on the way home.

at least you guys should know, if you want ike x robin x lucina, pre order them when they get available to pre order, even though fire emblem has a huge fan base, NoA won't stock a lot , smh

I was looking at preordering the next batch at bestbuy, and i see they are already sold out. I'm not even sure what these do, or why I keep buying them. But they are getting incredibly hard to find. Will the new ones even make it to stores, or if bestbuy is all sold out does that mean they sold their entire allotment?
 
I had some Best Buy gift cards for Christmas, so I ordered a copy of Captain Toad and the Peach Amiibo for in-store pickup. I was holding off on Peach since she is so common but since I'm coming up empty handed right now I figured I should go ahead and grab her, especially while it's free for me right now.

Used my Christmas money for Falcon from Gamestop and a Pit from Japan. Pit came out to 30$ with shipping. Also grabbed Captain Toad, Persona Q, and a Gamers Club unlocked membership from Best Buy along with Duck Hunt and Shantae on the eshop. Stupid Nintendo taking all my money. It was bad enough when it was just games.

Amiibos are easier to find in Europe, but I wish there was some nice pricing on Amiibos. I've yet to see a way to buy one here for less than 15 USD... I'm already close to 300$ for first two waves :/
 
Hearing about the use of the King Dedede and Meta Knight amiibo's in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse was my excuse to justify getting them.
I really just want them cause their Kirby related.

I managed to get a preorder for Dedede in at gamestop since it seemed to be the only place he was available but of course Meta Knight is already sold out at Best Buy so here's hoping he goes back up at some point.
 
So glad I called into TRU! I'm in the minority that did NOT receive another email about Lucario after he got cancelled.

Well, at first I was annoyed since the first rep hung up and second put me on hold for 20 mins (one at a time, c'mon no multitasking v_v) Finally got a rep that re-ordered Lucario for me AND gave me $5 off for my troubles (I didn't even sound angry or anything, he just went ahead and did it) AND release date shipping for Feb 1! I guess my order was pending as "backordered" so this should fix it. Good thing I did too, guess I made a small typo on my address, and used a card that has since been replaced with another number.

Yay :) At least he's secure now!!
 
I'm thinking about ordering Marth, WFT, and Villager from Amazon.de to complete my collection. How would with that work? Will I have to create a new Amazon account or can I use the one I already have....

I've used France to get a friend some of those and I just used my regular account.

I'll be in Boston until the 18th...you guys think I'll be able to get my hands on a little Mac amiibo before I go back to Brasil or should I swallow my pride and head the eBay way?

You might get lucky by finding one in Boston. Worst case scenario is you'll probably have to use a third party retailer on Amazon to get it and have it shipped to your residence. Even doing that will likely save you money than using eBay in Brazil.

TRU kept saying the same date for me. Going back to their old Sunday release date, so I think this may possibly actually be set in stone. No holidays or strikes to delay them either.
 
Somewhat off topic...

On the episode released on Christmas Day of Nintendo Voice Chat, they mentioned seeing someone who is making the wall in their room look like the character select screen in Smash using amiibos.

Does anyone have a link to pictures of that?
 
Went to look at GS and Walmart for Yoshi and Luigi amiibos. Don't have them, hardly had anything. Just moved to Cedar Park TX and I guess its a big gaming place since I'm not used to everything being completely empty. A handful of Mario, Peach, a lone Fox at Walmart in addition to Kirby, Pikachu, and DK at GS. So cool seeing them and wanting them, but I have limited money and just can't justify getting anyone else over Luigi and Yoshi. Damn I may miss out completely at this rate. Will preorder Toon Link first week of January at GS but decided to go with $20 eShop and $20 PSN cards atm.

Mario looked so cool but I couldn't possibly get him now knowing how common he'll be. Such a mess. Atleast I also saw some of the new cool Skylanders. More figures to want, yay. Almsot went with Mario and a minis pack with $20 card but said nope...

So I either have to wait for GS to get them in, or amazon since anywhere else online I can't use the cc later in the month. The nervousness is on. Maybe it'll be on amazon on the 1st. Maybe. (lol)

Yup, holiday shopping season doesn't end at Christmas! Got to use that Christmas money, gift cards, and return things directly the day after Christmas! Everyone on holidays usually until New Years also means continuous busy hours at retail.
 
When did EBGames finally put Shulk up online? I remember people for the longest time saying they'd heard nothing out of EB, I check today and boom, sold out. Sucks, because Xenoblade is my most anticipated game of the year.

I think it went up at the same time than it did on Gamestop, but sold out on the same day, while Gamestop orders lasted about a week and a half.

A couple weeks ago I think. Pre-orders were open for about half a day.
