PSX severely disappointed last year. Have no hype for it this year. Was it even confirmed to be back this year?
It's an annual event. But yeah I get the sense that it will never be on the scale of an E3 or Gamescom. I went last year and the show floor definitely reflects that. It's a fanservice show where not a crazy amount of news gets dropped, and the demos available are mostly stuff that's already been circulated at other shows. Fun event and worth going to, but definitely not the kind of bomb dropping event like the others.
They announced Ace Combat 7 and ni no kuni 2 right? That was already more than I expected. If Sony can pull out something similar this year I'd be fine.

I think outside of console warrior fuel, this is going to be a very hohum E3.
Its more about publishers establishing their platforms (because every AAA game franchise is a platform now) with new IP playing second fiddle to that.
A couple rumoured sequels may pop up and we may see hardware revisions, but its more "business as usual" than anything else.

2. Sony exclusive Spider-Man game developed by Sucker Punch
3. Shenmue 1 and 2 remaster
Hope I at least see one of the above.
Also excited to see some more MS exclusives in action - Crackdown, Sea of Thieves and ReCore in particular.
Sony also better announce the return of Crash as well. Too much teasing.

After the NX news, where I'm at is that Civ VI is about the only dream announcement left viable. I doubt Nintendo will tease any NX games without the system being there and I have no idea what the big third parties could deliver to get me excited.
I hope I like what we see of Zelda and I hope we see some cool DQXI stuff.

I think there will be new IP aplenty, For Honor, ReCore, Scalebound, Sea of Thieves, Horizon, The Last Guardian, Dead Don't Ride, indies like Inside and Cuphead, so I wouldn't really worry about that.

i don't think there are many games i'm interested in. off the top of my head i can only think of Red Dead 3 but Rockstar will probably announce that themselves unless they have some exclusivity deal. i'm mostly just looking forward to new hardware. the NX isn't happening but I want to see what sony/microsoft do. i might pick up an xbox one if they release a new model and i will most likely be buying the PS4 neo.
Because I'm in the market for a ton of new shit at the end of this year, I am super excited for this year's E3.

Yep. And the fact Zelda isn't out till next year. Sure we're getting Zelda blowout but e3 is setup to be a letdown this year. At least now I'm going in with little to no expectations so if anything decent is shown it will be above expectations.

It seems we are in a period of transition (new hardware incoming) but we haven't seen a roadmap or what to expect from the new hardware, E3 doesn't really seem the place to talk about it so fuck knows how the platform holders are going to approach this.
Just hope we see lots of cool new games, don't really care about a .5 console until I see the actual features and benefits of owning one and why I should upgrade.

How the fuck is E3 only 2 months away, i'm only 27 time should not be passing by so quickly but whatever. As for the actual show? My dream list includes Kingdom Hearts 3 proper gameplay, FF7r release info, Bloodborne 2, more Horizon stuff and I would very much appreciate it Nintendo if the NX was actually cool.
