So just to make the inevitable NX crash a tinge softer, the newest word on the street amongst "sources" is that at least 4 games will be NX up-ports, those being Smash, Mario Maker, Zelda and one other title, possibly Splatoon. That doesn't mean there won't be surprises, but there will probably be a more unshakable feeling of Deja vu if these rumors pan out. But on the flip side, there's more of a reason to get the system if you skipped the Wii U, so who knows how this supposed plan will go?
Let's do this, please. Other than that, I'm hoping for release dates for many announcements of last years events, from E32015 and afterwards.
Gotta stay cautious about NX. Nintendo's last show was them being stubborn as usual and straight up rejecting the most obvious fan feedback.

I just want to know if I can sell my Wii-U paperweight without feeling any regrets of missing out on the Nintendo games I so love.
Then again, I am sure the NX will become just a more expensive one if Nintendo doesn't garner some 3rd party support. Maybe its time I just focus on PS4/X1/PC and let my Nintendo nostalgia die.
1) The next PlayStation. Excited to see what Sony have been up to, hardware-wise. The 'PS4K' rumors have been in overdrive for the past 2 weeks, so I'm excited to see what the thing actually turns out to be. Will the console have internal PSVR capabilities? Are major developers on board with it? Is there a new OS? Will the glove controller materialize? I guess I want to see what the future of PlayStation looks like.
2) Nintendo's return. I want Nintendo to crush it with their next hardware and their next round of software. What they announce and show at E3 could be the return of Ocarina of Time/SM64/Mario Galaxy/Metroid Prime Nintendo. The revolutionary Nintendo. The kind of Nintendo that is known for gameplay mechanics and new ways to play rather than low availability of Amiibo's and questionable terminations of employees. It sounds weird, but I want Nintendo to get to the greatness that we all know they can get to.
3) Rockstar's next game. They don't have a history of being at E3, but I think the market has changed in such a way that partnerships and timed-content benefit from having a grandiose stage announcement -- meaning that if they have some partnership with one of the big three, E3 wouldn't be the worst place to announce it. Is it RDR2? A GTAV expansion? A new Bully game? So many questions.
4) Horizon. They've only shown one segment/slice so far, so I'm super eager to see an entirely different part and an entirely different aspect of the game. They had a phenomenal debut last year, so I'm hoping we get to see them live up to the debut.
5) Microsoft's next move. I'll be honest: I'm not terribly excited about the direction of Xbox. They're giving people less reasons to own their products and more reasons to hate their PC efforts. They (Microsoft) seem 'lost in the sauce', so I'm hoping that they've been working on something exciting behind the scenes. Do they have a master plan for turning Xbox into Windows machines? Will their cloud gaming claims finally turn into reality? Is the X1.5 even a thing or can we actually believe Phil Spencer when he says he doesn't like hardware upgrades? I want to see what Xbox will become.
6) SuckerPunch's next game. I just want to see what it looks like!
What are your predictions?
1) Unbelievable meltdowns. The past month or so has helped me understand that the future of console gaming has never been more uncertain. I have this nagging feeling that this E3 will be the one that produces the craziest fan reactions due to what will be announced and the assumed implications that the announcement(s) will have on the future of console gaming. There has just been so much uncertainty about consoles and the direction of the industry (and its players) that this E3 feels like it's going to bring out a tremendous response.
2) Gears 4 looks good but misses the point. I predict the game will look much better than it did last year, so it will put the fears of a graphically disappointing game to rest. However, I predict that we'll learn more about the story, and we'll realize that
the franchise should have ended with the extinction of the Locust and Lambent
. I predict this will be the feeling around the game -- ok but why.
3) A new Crash Bandicoot game is unveiled. I predict it will look super colorful and will have a kart racing mode.
4) GT Sport is fully unveiled and we discover it truly isn't a full game and has a bunch of caveats (e.g. Outdated and non-premium car roster). Hate to say it as I love racing games, but I just don't think GT Sport will be as high-production as GT7.
5) VR experiences everywhere. Take a virtual trip to the Facebook offices, experience a gruesome murder, walk some dogs in the city, stuff like that.
6) Someone you didn't expect shows up on someone's stage. There will be playful (possibly translated) banter before jumping into the carefully rehearsed sales pitch. You know it's going to happen.
What upcoming game are you most excited to see more of?
If I could pick one game and one game alone it would be Horizon. Rockstar's next game is exciting from a "What's it going to be?" perspective, but Horizon is exciting from a "Can it live up to the hype?" perspective. The brief story and brief gameplay that Guerrilla have shown has been incredible. There were vibes of early COD4:MW reveals -- the ones where they showed the ship level and everyone freaked out at how cool and unique it looked. I'm really excited to see the other tribes, other weapons, more robosaurs, and just everything more of the game.
I'll get on the hype train. Who wants to join my E3 hype train specifically?

Well don't get me wrong - I didn't mean I want 343 to never make another Halo game.
I believe 343 is currently consulting on the Halo Wars 2 sequel (it's being made by a different dev) so they're involved with that at the very least. And I am sure they are already in planning phases for Halo 6 and will most assuredly develop the next Halo mainline game.
I just would love to see what they are capable of with a new IP - the same way Naughty Dog went Uncharted 1, 2, 3, then bam, new IP with Last Of Us.
The only hype I have is for Nintendo hardware only. I just want to see what craziness they go for this time around. Not interested in their software output.
Not expecting much from Sony, with ND about to release a game they'll be out of action for another few years. The rest of Sonys' studios are b-tier. Last E3 was just a bunch of announcements for games perpetually in development.
As for MS they've already blown their load(Halo, Forza, etc) and other than Gears what stuff is a heavy hitter?
Its why I think any revision to PS4/X1 hardware wont change much on the software front.
With all the NX stuff sure to be going on, I'm really more interested to see how 2016 will go for the 3DS. Will they talk about Dragon Quest stuff? Show it off on stream like they have with games the past couple years? I'm under no delusion that the 3DS will get the time and energy it has had the past few E3s. I'll take anything I can get though.
That is an incredible animation, whoever made it is a hero.
Nintendo predictions:

Not including multiplats in any.

Honestly, I'm hyped for E3 2016 solely because I know it can't be worse than last year's E3 which was the most boring/disappointing one in years, IMO. Between RDR3/GTAV DLC, the ps4k/psvr, and cross-network play, this year should be solid.
- Warner Bros. Montreal's new AAA DC games. It's confirmed that they're working on two and we have no idea what they are. Warner's current upcoming slate of games is extremely bare so I'd be shocked if we don't see at least one of them at or around E3.
- Sony Bend's new game. I've enjoyed multiple games by this studio and they've been working on their current project for quite awhile. Scott Rodhe and the rest of SEIA seem to have a lot of confidence in it which adds to my anticipation.
- Persona 5's release date
- Watch Dogs 2 because I actually liked the first game and I'm eager to see how they attempt to make this one beetter.
- Also pretty much anything AAA from Japanese companies bit it Capcom, Bamco, Sega, whoever.
What are your predictions?
- Ubisoft announces a new UbiArt IP from the Child of Light team
- A new Splinter Cell is shown
- We see a resurrected Prey 2 at Bethesda's conference
- Techland (Dying Light) announces a new game
- Volition announces a new IP, not Saint's Row
What upcoming game are you most excited to see more of?
- Dishonored 2! I absolutely adored the first game yet I've struggled a bit to get excited for the sequel because all we have is a CGI trailer. Give me some legit footage!
- Mass: Andromeda is going to melt my face and soul sooooo hard.
I'm sure I will think of more to add for all three of these.
