Not your hardware then. The Mali is pretty damn fast.
I'll chalk it up to not being optimized well.
It's fast for Galaxy 2, but is it also fast for the <720p resolution of the Note...?

I'm really not a big android gamer, but all the rpg-style games I've played have pretty shoddy. The roguelikes are pale, shallow imitations of better games (except for Slash'em I guess) and something like Cyberlords just led me to wish that I was playing Syndicate or Shadowrun instead.
So here's what I did.
1. Buy Dosbox Turbo. Don't get adosbox, because it runs slower, doesn't support game profiles and doesn't support absolute mouse tracking.
2. Go get an awesome dos game, that let's you control with mouse only, like Might and Magic 1-5.
3. Play that shit.
Yeeeah, that's what I'm talking bout.
K I just might put that in the description cause I'm guessing a number of users will either ask about it or post low star reviews asking why its needed.
Also just for my curiosity, so sounds like the sms system is some separate way than the standard google in-app purchases?
Unfortunately, Google Checkout is not supported everywhere, which is the main reason for the SMS system. It's also more covienient for some users in less developed countries.

To be honest though, I'm kind of wary discussing the business side of things, especially since those decisions are made way above my paygradeThe pimping is not a part of some marketing plan, just me looking out for our baby.
Pocket Academy is available for your Kairosoft crack pipe!
I played Game Dev Story till I burnt out.
I played Grand Prix Story and I liked it.
I played World Cruise Story and didn't find it fun.
But Epic Astro Story ? God this is like pure heroin. It makes me want to buy a cheap android device with a long-lasting battery to play it.
If Dungeon Village has the same system (Management + micro RPG) I'll be hooked.
Should i be experiencing choppiness/slowdown of any kind on emulators like gbaoid and snesoid on a transformer prime tablet? I thought this was the most powerful shit money can buy right now?
What settings or other bullshit do i need to fuck with to make this not suck?

That sucks. My 12 year old tiger direct hunk of shit desktop with windows ME can run snes games perfectly, and my quadcore tablet cant even do that. Theres nothing that takes advantage of this hardware, android games suck. I have a 500 dollar porn browser.

Always a possibility I guess. Though I doubt it.
My Galaxy Nexus sports an SGX 540, and runs at 720p. The game runs incredibly smooth, and that GPU is much weaker than yours.
BTW, what prevents some apps from being moved to the SD card? Destroy Gunner, Vanessa and Delver are fairly large and cannot be moved.
I'm not finished with dungeon village, let alone nipponica...nooooooooooooooooooooo !!!
just as I managed to let Cafeteria Nipponica go !
** buys Pocket Academy **
thanks fellow Gaffer ! now there will be some long toilet breaks at work this afternoon
Seems like a lot of times it's multiplatform developers who don't realize this is a big issue for Android users. It also requires an extra permission ("modify sd card contents").
Nipponica is probably Kairosoft's weakest game, there's just so little interaction. Yes, there's thought involved in the things you do but most of the time it's hands off while you wait for the game to allow you another choice (e.g. dish development only happening at night, harvesting only every three months, ...). The complete opposite of EAS.
Ah okay, so that's why "this game doesn't require any permissions" is so rare.

Does the G. Note counts?avadon's on google play now. BUY BUY BUY if you have a tablet.
Does the G. Note counts?
drinky what's better avadon or avernum? haven't followed these games until recently
I have no idea why "top grossing" is even exposed to users, doesn't that just mean "these games are the best at ripping people off"?

Hi! We recently released Zombie Lane for Android...
Played it for a while. The UI was a little clunky (tapping just to move also meant sometimes using up precious energy as I dug/attacked something I didn't mean to.) I ran into the "micro" transactions wall pretty early on, and hard. Significant cash would be needed to have any fun in this game, it seems.Hi! We recently released Zombie Lane for Android, one of our recent biggest social/Facebook games.
Last week it reached top 50 grossing grames in US, and we're close on top free games.
That's not how this sort of game works. You're fed a few fun things but pretty soon the only way to advance is to pay, and the amounts get serious. It's easy to see why they would make money hand-over-fist from some players compared to games where you just shell out the $2-$10 to be able to play the entire thing. When alot of things are free, paid items that sell well hold bigger weight by the implication that they are "so good you pay for them".

I bought GTA3 for my Galaxy S2 yesterday.
I'm never going to try any missions with the awful controls, but I can see myself booting it up and just driving around from time to time. It's really impressive to have it running on my phone.
Given that it's free to install they must.I didn't know that, but do the in game sales factor into the gross figures?
