Welp wait for amazon market I guess.HadesGigas said:Jelly Defense is 49MB. Some phones have annoying self imposed limits to how large of files you can download from the official android market. (Samsung Galaxy S for example is 30MB)
Many devs don't really know this and games that otherwise would run on the phone but can't be downloaded are marked as compatible.
If they fleshed that game out to say a 9.99 game it would be awesomeDoopliss said:Thanks for the Emissary of War recommendations, does anyone know of other action games with similar tap-to-move controls?

Battleheart
Cut The Rope
Death Worm
Field Runners
Flight Control
Jelly Defense
Jet Cat Stunts (Really like this game)
Legends of Yore
Meganoid
NFL Rivals
Peggle
Plants vs Zombies
They Need to Be Fed
Toki Tori
Jet Car Stunts looks incredible and runs like a dream too. Like Trackmania but with even more brutally difficult platforming. I have yet to beat the first list of medal courses. Also there's one that just came out for Tegra 2 devices, Shadowgun I think it's called, sort of like Gears of War.mr jones said:LOL I forgot that Android limited refunds to friggin 15 minutes. What a joke.
Well, I'm communicating with Infinite Dreams, so I'm not trippin.
Anyone else that puts out really graphically intensive games?

Just came out. FF Tactics style. A bit pricey at 15 USD.

Makes sense, I was going to say I definitely have seen that one before. Far too expensive though.TouchMyBox said:I like how I've been waiting for Android gaming to take off for the longest time, and now that it's starting to kick into high-gear, there's no space left on my shitty Nexus One.
It's probably new for him as it just added support for tegra devices.

What would you recommend? Thx in advance!
Vector Unit is proud to announce that their critically acclaimed jet ski racing game Riptide GP, previously an NVIDIA® Tegra exclusive, will be released for iPhone, iPad, and high-end Android devices in late October 2011.

never played "Flowerz"
Looks really fun actually. I have a hardware keyboard on my G2 and a Game Gripper that makes it feel like a game pad. Can I use that with this game? Seems like it would be tough to play on a touchscreen because of the 2.5D style.beril said:time for another shameless plug
I've finally released my new game. It's a simple but cute 3D platformer called Helium Boy.

trailer
Android Market
it's also available for iOS
The game is inspired by Balloon Fight, and it's lesser known sequel Balloon Kid. You use balloons to fly through the levels and collect stars, while avoiding birds, flying ninjas and spikey things. If you loose your balloons you can use your pump to get new ones and you can also jump around without any balloons.
The game is ideally played on an Xperia PLAY, but it works decently with an oncreen gamepad as well. You can also use the Wiimote app or other gamepad plugins, but you won't get analog controls with those. It requires a GLES2 compatible device.
Some of you may actually remember this game (though it's very unlikely) from this thread. I made the first version way back in 2006 when I was still in Uni and then I dabbled a bit in Wii homebrew a few years ago and made a quick port. However this time the game is almost completely remade with new graphics and has a bunch of new levels and stuff (the original only had one level, this version has 8).
Yes!! I tried to get the original running on my phone via Chainfire 3D, but only the water and riders were rendering, and all the textures were messed up anyway.HadesGigas said:Riptide GP coming to non-Tegra devices this month:

https://twitter.com/#!/Kappische/Minecraft - Pocket Edition will be released today!
Ah alright then, ill give it a shot!beril said:Yes you can map the input to any keys so it should work fine. It actually plays reasonably well with the virtual touchscreen gamepad as well.
Also, only some levels are 2.5D while the others have full 3d movement, so analog controls are pretty nice to have, though not necessary. Unfourtunatly I had to remove support for the analog touchpad on xperia play in the last minute because that version crashed on some phones, and Android market won't let me select specific devices to filter between different versions. Hopefully I'll get it fixed soon.
You should be shot for such blasphemy! NiGHTS and Panzer Dragoon are some of the greatest games ever!nubbe said:Sleepy Jack is out!

Man, talk about a base and generic name.
But the game behind it is a very very good Arkanoid clone. Controls well, has good powerups and excellent multi-tiered stage design. Really, I have to applaud them for the ideas, some absolutely brilliant stuff.

Also, hilariously ripoffy IAPs, one use items anyone? Haha.
