Monsters ate my Condo does use a lot of the CPU. Great game, but a battery drainer.

Can anyone recommend a multiplayer tablet game? I feel like something I can play with the girlfriend on car rides up to the cottage would be great.

Glow Hockey or Glow Hockey 2 maybe? It's air hockey, and they both have support for 2 players on the same device.

Final Fantasy 3 is now listed as having 50,000+ installs...at $16. The 'Android users don't buy games' argument is now more dead than ever.

I think it's pretty safe to say that we'll be seeing more Squeenix in the play store soon.

And yet great games like Neuroshima Hex have still sold less than 5k on Android. Broken Sword has only just broken past 5k in the past day or two, despite being a gaming classic.

A massively known title from Square Enix getting 50k downloads doesn't tell us a lot, except that certain franchises can still pull in buyers on any platform. There are games that have done well on Android, but things will still have to pick up a lot more to entice developers.

Any good soccer management games? I saw football manager but it's last season. Can't seem to find championship manager.

A heads up - the game currently has dropped price to £2.99 this week, so even though I imagine 2013 is around the corner, a few bob is good for a spin.

Also, 50,000 is nothing compared to iOS numbers.

When a game is $16 in a sea of $1-2 games, you just aren't going to get many hits, sorry Squeenix.

Not quite sure if this is the right thread, but I'm making "Chopper Mike" for Android...

Tested on Galaxy S3 and Asus TF300T. Works on PC and Web too as it's built with Unity, but the whole point of it was to make a nicely controlled touchscreen game.

Anyone know if these games are good? Literally never heard of any of them.

I was about to say that I thought I read really good things about the Cthulhu game, but then I realized that I was thinking of Cthulhu Saves The World. Now sitting back and waiting for more comments before putting money in (still kick myself for forgetting to pitch in for Humble Bundle Android 2...).

Whens pocket planes coming out >.<?

Also, will it do the stupid thing where it pops up notifications to remind you to buy shit like Tiny Towers did on android >.> Its why I uninstalled it...

Well, tried each of the games for a bit:

Battle Group: Basically missile command, your ship drives along and you have to shoot down planes and missiles.
Ichi: A puzzle game where you bounce a ball into targets by rotating reflectors, you have to keep rotating them while the ball travels to redirect its path.
Little stars 2: A GalCon-like game. It uses paths so you can't just deep strike into enemy territory.
The Lost Souls: Far as I can tell it's a first person horror adventure.
Call of Cthulhu: Turn based squad tactics game, games like it that I played were Ghost Recon Shadow Wars and Incubation (Battle Isle 4).
Xelorians: A shmup with Tyrian graphics (I'm getting a bit tired of those) that loves powerup overkill.

It also got a patch that fixed the CPU issue it had before, restoring compatibility to some devices (including the Xperia Play).

I'll keep an eye out for it.

Ugh, what's with GameBoid and GBCoid forcing linear filtering when I set it to fullscreen scaled? Anyone know alternatives that offer the same performance and still give me my precious blocky pixels?

Try writing an email to the authors. Small developers like these often take on and implement feedback happily.

Does anyone play pocket academy? Has anyone figured out how to unlock the art class? This is pissing me off.

Can anyone recommend me a bunch of quick pick up games? I just got Monsters Ate my Condo and love it! So, I'm just wondering if there are games like that in terms of ease of pick up.

Dead Trigger is free

Pretty sad.

“Regarding price drop. HERE is our statement. The main reason: piracy rate on Android devices, that was unbelievably high. At first we intend to make this game available for as many people as possible – that’s why it was for as little as buck. – It was much less than 8$ for SHADOWGUN but on the other hand we didn’t dare to provide it for free, since we hadn’t got XP with free-to-play format so far. – However, even for one buck, the piracy rate is soooo giant, that we finally decided to provide DEAD TRIGGER for free."

Just want to say thanks to ASG for the android love. Bought monsters ate my condo a few days ago like already spent 10 hours playing it.
I finally got around to Monsters too. Incredible! I'm going crazy playing it. Just hit 20 billion :P

Play store seriously needs a wish list/more from this developer option.

Apologies if this is 'old' or not but do we know if that WB Interactive app Midway Arcade is coming to Android or is it an IOS exclusive?

Major Mayhem is pretty much the best game ever.

Also try games like GYRO, Wind Up Knight, Ceramic Destroyer, Plant Wars, Strikefleet and Dead Trigger (now free).

These are all free games

In Wind Up Knight, can you move onto chapter 2 without buying coins?

Thanks! We don't have anything else published through Adult Swim Games on Android at this point, but we've done a couple of other games for iOS via them and really love working with them, so who knows what else will come long :)

Ah well, I'm just not allowed to buy any equipment. Should've known that before, thought it was like Temple Run.

What do you mean? The cash you earn from the coins and cards you collect allow you to buy new equipment.

Edit: OK I see what you mean about being able to move to the next chapter. You need 1200 notes and I have 981 after having an A ranking on all the levels in the first book and getting an A on the preview level. This is just sad... lol. Damn you freemium! So essentially to play the whole game for free you have to earn a perfect score on everything and like them on Google + and Facebook. What a joke...

I tried a few games now that i got ICS on my touchpad:

Rage of Bahamut: This shouldn't qualify as a game, maybe a tapping simulator. There is little to no actual gameplay here.

Shadow Era: The opposite of Rage of Bahamut, an actual card battle game but unlike Bahamut it is extremely hard to get new cards and since i'm unwilling to just outright buy new cards with money right away, i'm probably quitting. It had potential though.
