Took it to T-Mobile guy said its done for... Now if I could get a link to official fw one x international? Absolutely gutted. Going away Thursday there goes my entertainment device for the next 2 weeks. Smh. I have such bad luck with these things...

Tmobile doesn't have the One X, it has the One S. Which is probably why loading a One X rom fried your phone.

Is this related to ads? I just went on androidpit.com and was redirected to some porn website. Browsing my Chrome history revealed that the browser accessed the website "adimpclick.com" inbetween (haven't clicked that website either on phone or PC now, thus I don't guarantee for its safety).

Some virus? Related to the website? I actually use the AVG virus scanner.

Installed google now on my HTC evo 4g LTE. Works well but there are some minor glitches. Flash city over here now. Great to pick exactly what I want on my phone. Locked the launcher framerate at 60 and we're rolling here.

Been away on holiday and I've not been able to find any information on this on Google... So just throwing it out there.

Don't suppose there's any news on the One X's 4.0.4/4.1 Sense update for the international One X?

Yes. News came out yesterday after some blogs reached out to HTC, and they said they are actively working on the 4.0.4 patch that AT&T pushed last week for the international One X.

So expect that first, and Jelly Bean they just said was coming soon after the JB reveal. Expect 4.0.4 in the short term. Jelly could be a while aka late Fall.

Are notification sounds still jacked up in JB? You know what I'm talking about. How notification sounds interrupt music to which you're listening. Does it still do that or does it actually work for once? Like how iOS elegantly lowers the music so you can hear the notification and then raises the music volume back to normal after the notification has made itself known.

Can't f'ing believe these jacked up notification sounds have lasted 3+ years on Android.

They fixed it, but I think it requires that the application has been developed using the JB SDK. For example, Google Music lowers the volume of whatever you're listening to and plays the notification over the top slightly louder.

Stuff like BeyondPod that I use for podcasts still hasn't taken advantage of this, but I think it's on the way.

That's not new to jelly bean anyway, Google music did this before in ics. Its up to other apps to take advantage of it.

Maybe it's my AOSP ROM of ICS but this is not true. The volume lowers in Google Music but it does not recover back to normal. You're listening to Google Music, a notification chimes in, the volume of the music lowers, and stays that way. It's equally as annoying as the pre-ICS way.

Either way, F Google for taking 3+ years to fix something so simple and which iOS had right on day one.

I think the same is true for Navigation messages. It used to be that navigation would stop any playing music but now it lowers the sound of the music when announcing turn-by-turn instructions. This is on ICS, by the way.

Actually my Tab 10.1 on HC did this correctly, however when I updated to ICS and JB it stopped doing it. I think it may be related to the drivers or something.

I think these are the stock fw
http://htcfanboys.com/download/joplayer/?action=browse&folder=11975

But it doesn't say tmobile, just Europe? Is it the same thing?
Also from what I can understand, I need to "relock bootloader" There's a button in One X AIO Kit to do that but once I press that will I still be able to flash ofw on it?

Lol, I'm so lost and upset it's unbelievable...

Are phones in Europe locked to carriers? For example the One X comes in a AT&T branded box with an AT&T logo on the phone. Is that how it is in Europe? If it is just the regular egg shaped box then the Europe one should be fine.

You should flash stock before you relock the bootloader. Once you lock the bootloader you won't be able to flash anything so go to OFW then relock.

Ok thanks, now if only I could find the OFW, then I'm going to take it in tomorrow

I thought HTC provides images for their phones on their site? Have a look in the developer section of their website.

Installing CyanogenMod 9 using Mac OS (for dummies)
techwatch said:
The major questions I had were:
  • How do I do that using Mac OS? (I would always get the same answer: “You don’t, you just use Windows”).
  • How does it work?
  • What do I need to have?
  • Where do I start?
  • What should I do?
Many websites would briefly tell you what to do, without getting into the details. They would say: “Download this file, click on it.” etc.
To me, it always felt like reading a book telling you about how to use a hammer when trying to twist a screw.

How do I do that on Mac OS? / “You don’t, you just use Windows” (Is there a good reason for that?)

No.
There is not.
But there is most certainly a bad habit shared by many people around that: people use the do-everything-and-maybe-add-a-virus-to-your-computer.exe all the time without trying to know what they are doing.

They told him it wasn't possible. They said he would never make it. But he believed *wipes tear*

Following that guide I put CM 9.0 (RC2) on my xperia ray. Sony's ICS update broke tethering (completely) and the led notifier (partly) but CM9 fixes that... So anybody tried the CM 10 alpha?

It did with Google Music. I know 100% that it did over Bluetooth and I am 97% sure it did it with headphones.

I'm on an AOSP ICS ROM right now and it doesn't do it over headphones.

I don't get it. What's new about using a Mac to install ROMs? To be honest, it's actually easier on a Mac since you don't have to deal with ADB drivers.

i just used it last night over the headphone jack in my car, it interrupts.

Ok, guess headphones are in the 3% of my uncertainty. I do know it just lowers the volume for the notification over bluetooth and goes back to normal after. Wonder why they just have it do it over bluetooth and not headphones.

bluetooth does lower volume, i have a bluetooth speaker in my kitchen with the phone... i have no idea what they did on ICS or why it took them so long to fix it in JB. There are a ton of small annoyances that the android team doesnt feel the need to ever fix (or at least take years)

stock VZW Nexus... when I'm listening to Goog Music and get a notification, the music stops, the notification sound plays, and then the music fades back up to original volume.

Are there any text message apps that "integrate" in some way with the iPhone system? I'm getting tired of getting text messages as slideshows and not seeing who else is in the group when I receive a group message.

GoSMS then go to send settings and check "Enable Group MMS". It's still a bit janky (you'll first get the message from the individual but after a second or two it will figure it out and make it/move it into a group message) but it works.

The slideshow thing hasn't happened to me for a while now, maybe it was fixed in ICS or something but I don't remember when I stopped seeing that happen.

So there might be a Galaxy Note 2 announcment at the end of this month?
Think the price of the Galaxy Note 1 will go down if that happens?

I'll just hold my purchase of the Note for now I reckon.

Galaxy Nexus - 4.0.4

My launcher (stock) stops working every couple of hours or so forcing me to reset my phone each time. Additionally my widgets stop updating/refreshing.

Started happening around the time I got the 4.0.4 upgrade - last month or so.

My wife's did that but I blamed some games she tries to download and play. A factory reset has cleared the problem and haven't seen it since

1. Run the RUU and get the rom.zip from it. (Find it in here "c:\users\%usrename%\appdata\temp\")

2. Copy rom.zip to the SD-Card and rename it to PJ46IMG.zip

3. Put the SD-Card in the card reader.

4. Put the card reader onto the USB Y-Cable.

5. Plugin the USB Y-Cable to your One X.

6. Hold volume down and press the power button while keeping the volume down pressed. This will get you into HBOOT.

7. Wait a couple of seconds and you'll see that it finds PJ46IMG.zip

8. Follow the instructions on your screen =)
Get the right RUU from http://www.filefactory.com/f/7cc7b2fbdd03c031/

Should be this one I guess: http://www.filefactory.com/file/7jt...Radio_1.1204.103.14_release_256500_signed.exe

If you don't have an SD card reader - just use another phone.
