Today's FREE App of the Day on the Amazon Appstore for Android is Angry Birds (Ad-Free)
Previously (close to 18 months ago), Amazon has given away Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio was the first free app of the day ever, and only one of a select few (off the top of my head, SwiftKey was another) to be the free app twice, but this is the first time that the original Angry Birds was the free app of the day!
Hey guys, is there any way to upload media files using the browser on Android? Exactly like how you can upload pictures to websites like craigslist, some forums or pictures/files for your email through your browser.
Apple is letting users to be able to do this with Safari in ios6, just wondering if this is already possible for Android or is being addressed by Google shortly.

Amazon have finally launched the App-Store in the UK as well!

It's already possible as far as I know, but you can only choose one file at a time from the gallery app.
You mean uploading a normal file? It has been possible since the first version of Android.

HTC One X in white for £230, yay or nay?
So very tempted, it's a grade B product but from what I've read of this company it should be near mint condition.
yay. That's rather cheap. I payed 390 (around 310 pound) for a one month old, mint One X and didn't regret it so far.
Is it Pentile? Yes.
but just when you thought you had the answer, Samsung changes the question.
DAT RGB PenTile
A Red, a Blue and a Green subpixel for every pixel!
RGB Pentile. cut the check!!!
Right that's all the encouragement I need Now, black or white?
Thing is, the white One X looks pretty sexy but after a year in my jeans it would be either yellow or blue so i took the "plain" black version.
If you use any kind of case, the white is unnecessary.
I think Pentile specifically refers to layouts where subpixels are shared between pixels. Is it Pentile? Yes.

Edit - Went white.
I think I'm going to turn my Google web history on. I mean what's the big deal its not like I'm searching for my social security number or anything...
Besides all my porn or what i would consider private or sensitive searches are on incognito anyway...
That doesn't go into web history since I don't sign into my Google account on incognito right?
Make sure to install the 4.0.4 update ASAP if it's not already installed. Fixes a ton of things for the international One X.

I'm so confused. Why is that easier to make than standard RGB stripe?
For the mobile sports watchers, it seems that ESPN finally added Comcast support to the WatchESPN Android app. Assuming you have a cable TV subscription of some kind, you can now watch ESPN anywhere! I suggest being in a 4G/LTE area for the best video quality.
I like some of those colours >__>
Why does Samsung insist on releasing the ugliest colours for their phone accessories?
The S3 ones were bad enough, but the note ones are for the most part, atrocious:

They make ugly accessories because they now that the people that have taste don't use them. :p
It seems that now the Android apps of the day have to have language packs for English, French, Italian, Spanish and German. I imagine that should raise the bar of app quality should they keep that restriction (one that I can't meet 100% unfortunately due to having over 5000 words of text in my in-game rules).I hope that the launching of new European App Stores will result in the Free Apps of the Day being awesome again for awhile, like in the early days of the original North American App Store. I'm going to start opening the Amazon App Store daily just to check like I did back when it first launched in NA.

Amazon really need a hit with the Kindle Fire 2, because their store is moribund as far as I can tell.
i just don't see it, with the Nexus 7 and the ipad mini, the fire really holds no advantages and significant disadvantages. They can compete against a new nook tablet.
Me neither. As a dev with sales being 1:50::Amazon:Google I have to ask if it's worth my time being on the store too.i just don't see it, with the Nexus 7 and the ipad mini, the fire really holds no advantages and significant disadvantages. They can compete against a new nook tablet.

And the plot thickens. According to a report out of Korea Times, Samsung has confirmed that if Apple releases an LTE-enabled iPhone next month, the Korean electronics giant will slap them with a lawsuit immediately here in the States. Taken from analysis over at iRunway, Samsung currently holds 10% of all LTE patents granted so far and has waited for Apple to release an LTE iPhone for just this reason - deciding not to go after Apples less popular LTE-enabled iPad device. The hit them where it hurts" approach.
As many would expect, there is no way Apple isnt going to release an LTE iPhone this year. Its simply become the standard that consumers look for when purchasing a new smartphone. Plus lets face it, if Apple doesnt release LTE on the next iPhone, then they will have basically screwed themselves anyways.
So, will Apple release the device and then gather their legal team once more for another showdown? With unveiling of the iPhone 5 in a matter of weeks, we shall see soon enough.
Still think the Kindle branding holds well in a lot of people's minds even if it's not an e-reader. I think that does really well for them, and holds more cache than the Nexus 7 (irregardless of which is the better device).
That ipad mini is going to be a frick'n monster though.
I also think that a comparable tablet to the Nexus would do wonders due to the Amazon name. Particularly at a competitive price. I already see a lot of Fires just out and about, I think its a very portable size.
