EU doesn't like that Google bundles the Play Store?
They don't like that it's required to bundle lots of other things like Gmail and docs if you install framework services.

Not fussed over 4k screen, I'd rather longer battery life.

Not really. I fell out of love with them with the OP2. If they offer a phone with top end specs for under $400 I'm in though. Oxygen OS is pretty bad, but cyanogenmod will be available for it, so I'll just buy one and throw that on there. I will not buy one if it comes with a 1080p screen again or the screen is less than 5.5 inches.

That's a given that they'll release a high end spec phone for ~$400 (like they always have) and you know that. So you don't love them but you're still buying even though the software stinks, they suck at customer service.
You love Oneplus.

It's still awesome.
It won't have quick charge, like all USB C phones shouldn't. It's not in the spec.
As long as it's a real USB 3.1 though, it should charge pretty quick.

Amoled looks nice, but I don't like it on my phone for a couple of reasons. Colors fade and screen gets darker over time and I use the internet on my phone alot and there is burn in with amoled. That being said, the rumored leaked specs have this being an amoled on the op3.

Rumors have the next Nexus phones being launched early due to the incoming expected earlier release of Android N. Might want to wait until after Google's event this month.
I assume we'll get a new one with i/o next week? Hopefully with a few surprises and daily driver ready. I'm getting the itch to join the beta.
So an update to es file explorer has added some shitty du fast charge lockscreen thats full of ads, it looks absolutely terrible and no doubt makes no difference to the charging speed on my 6p.
Can anyone recommend some file explorers? Used to really like es but no way am I leaving that shit on there if it buudles adware.

I skipped through the installation notes but caught something along the "2 weeks" lines. Is this app only free for 2 weeks or something?

A little hunting tells me that the S7 Edge is a beast of a phone. Is this true? Does the "edge" part get in the way of games and shit?

Nope. S7 Edge is a great phone, but bootloader is locked on all US networks, so no custom roms or xposed stuff like ad blocking. That's what stopped me from getting it.
If a file explorer is essential to you, Solid Explorer (Premium) is worth the money.
If a file explorer is something you rarely use, something free like Amaze File Manager will do fine.

Err shoot, how possible is it that Google announces the new nexus' for sale right then? If the new nexus' are available by end of may/June, I might as well return the 5x while I can and wait it out.

Probably not that likely, but they usually coincide with the Android release. I'd guess we will get them before October, which is when they released last year I believe. I'm thinking July-August which is the rumored launch of Android N.

Top end specs at a low price differentiates them. It's not like there are alot of options out there in the affordable high end market. I don't give a shit about how it looks. It's going to be sitting in a case 100% of the time.

I played around with one yesterday for the first time in a while and jesus christ is it fucking massive. Absolutely shitty design. Holds like a 5.5+ inch phone.
Hopefully HTC handles this better. Not sure what's so difficult tbh. One small one big. Not one big and one bigger. It aint rocket science.
Anyway, definitely no nexus in the summer. Only thing I've caught wind of is some more ZTE shit and also two moto phones. But everyone knows about those.

Anyone else excited that Google is now posting the OTA for the previews and regular system images? No more waiting for weeks for the OTA hopefully they get posted as soon as they are announced.
