Wonder if we'll get news on the rumored HTC Nexus soon...
Probably not. HTC just released the 10, no way they would want to kill that hype train.

would it be really dumb to buy a Nexus 5X now? I would ideally want my next phone to last 3 years.
I know I read about performance issues, but maybe Android N will fix things? My Verizon contract is up next month and if I switched to Fi, even if I made monthly payments on the phone I think I'd be paying less than my monthly Verizon bill, so I could potentially even save money per month by switching to a 5X.
Is it possible for app developers to implement messaging apps that could flip between SMS/IM like iMessage does? The thought occurred to me that while I want that kind of a service from Google I wondered why other developers of popular chat apps haven't done anything like that.
Like WhatsApp could act as an SMS app and then send their own messages if both users are using their app.
does the Music icon have to trigger Google Music? Can you set it to work with Spotify for example?
You know how when you use your phone or tablet for long periods of time, it gets a little warm? Sometimes it even goes toasty hi, Snapdragon 810! and app performance suffers: you start seeing lags and stutters and things don't work as smoothly or as reliably as they should. That's because the system throttles the SoC when it risks reaching its limit temperature. This is the kind of performance issues that the new Sustained Performance Mode aims to solve.
Think he means leaks, no way it'll actually get announced before fall.
Going to get my free LG 360 Cam from T-Mobile today. So excited. Going to China in a few days so I will definitely be using it a ton.
I love this thread. Y'all sooo salty. LoL

Didn't Hugo Barra say Xiaomi was going to announce something?
This will be awesome if it performs well.
So nothing important? I still don't see a reason to get N.
Sounds like dirty flashing the N OTA is a legit process. Not hearing about many issues. Tempting.
I worried about notifications with Doze 2, particularly because I'm a Wear user. I'd be interested in hearing how it goes for you.Yup. My only issue on the 6p is that doze is a little too aggresive. Pixel C has 0 issues. Both just enrolled on the Beta site.

My pixel is having issues with notifications when on sleep mode. Won't give me Twitter or Gmail dunno why.
Google play on Chromebooks is a long time coming but it's so good it is.
Now if only I could afford a proper pixel lol
It has a SOC that only barely outperforms 2013's Nexus 5 and absurdly slow, low quality storage. It's not future proof at all.
lol some of you guys are fucking ridiculous. Like....seriously?

Well that depends on your usage pattern. Certainly for me it was a big step up and I xant see me using it till google stops updating it at least. But then my needs are limited. After all I used a Nexus 4 from launch till this year and was fine.
I agree but prospective buyers need to be warned that as regards performance the 5X is a 2013 Android phone but with a very good camera and a fingerprint reader. There are better choices out there for someone who wants their phone to last 3+ years.
The LG G5 price is dropping like a rock already, soon that will be a viable mid budget phone recommendation.
So what is LG like in terms of updates with its non nexus devices?
