Animal Crossing 3DS Bundle Announced

Reminds me of a pop-tart.

The game in all the bundles are installed in the stick? The heck happens if I format it?

You can redownload it from the eShop. You'll lose your save, though. Same thing as with the short Dinosaur Office video that gets 'lost' when you do a 3DS system transfer. It's redownloadable from the eShop history. Now if you reformat the 3DS (and erase the eShop history), then you're out of luck, but don't see any reason why you'd need to do that unless you were giving the system to someone else and 1) didn't want them to have it and 2) didn't want to do a system transfer to another 3DS first.

I like the AC 3ds, it looks pretty good, IMO. I've never played an AC game, so that one doesn't really interest me. Plus I already have a white 3ds LL.

The Mario one looks awesome. I'd be willing to give up my white LL for it. I'm sure my girlfriend would take it off my hands along with my retail copy of nsmb2.

Hmmm...
Have to think about this now...

Ooh thanks for the detailed response. Even answered a question I might have in the future!

Kinda smart idea having it be the download version of Animal Crossing, I know when the game comes out I'll most def go digital for it as this is the kind of game that it would make sense to have on the system at all times.

That said I wish they had of just included the download code for the game instead of having it on the SD card, I think it would be smarter to have people go on the store to download the game and then see what other titles there are on there for them to get if they want. Encourage the people to go to the store or at least know that its there.

Wish I saw this thread sooner. Literally just placed an order for a silver x black LL earlier today since it was the least terrible color out of the ones available (already have red XL). Now I'm going to have to jump through some hoops to cancel cause that black on black is just too good.

I'm not normally one for repeated symbols for special editions, but this looks really fricking cool. And I'm a lapsed AC fan.

I'm not even interested in Animal Crossing anymore but that 3DS XL is giving money shots left and right.

NSMB2 one is less impressive. Half colors still suck for me.

These mini Directs gave us two possible indications

1)Monster Hunter 3G will come on the eShop, since there's already the bundle with its digital version
2)Well, with these little events they've already announced things for the Holiday season which would have been material for a full Nintendo Direct. The same thing for the Animal Crossing Direct. This makes me think this month's Direct could be...good for us. With unknown things to talk.

The range of 3DS covers in Japan is fucking mental.
That Mario one is gorgeous!

EDIT: These bundles come with the game installed on the SD Card - found that interesting, great money saver for Nintendo there. Does any other company do this with Bundles? Its pretty nifty for all involved.

i agree, they seem to be really pushing their DD... i'd have never guessed that nintendo would have been the first one among the big 3 to actually bundle full fledged retail games in digital forms with their console.

now this opens up the question regarding nintendoland. will the bundled game be digital?

Apparently nintendoland is gonna be physical, though to be honest Nintendo is being rather stupid if it is as the market will be flooded with used copies soon

Yeah, seriously don't understand why NoA is intent on making buyers feel horrible about their purchases.
I honestly did see this coming though, I'll be holding off until I get an XL LE that I absolutely want.

They could've used some other images instead of mixing in color balls.
I would rather have a village picture engraving or one image to the side (ie K.K. Slider).

K.K. SLIDER!

Looking at it again, the AC 3DS does look a bit tacky, heh. Mario one is nice, but I'm not a fan of color mixes. Want that black though... where are 3rd party shells so I can make myself one? :(

The AC 3DS isn't my cup of tea, but Nintendo is really going for the kill shot in Japan.

NOA.... Come on... I want to give you my money... make that Mario XL happen!

It most definitely will. Nintendo always has a special edition handheld bundle for Black Friday, and the Mario bundle would make the most sense to bring over.

I'd be shocked if t doesn't release here.

I don't think they wanted to go "childish" with the Animal Crossing one. It's a franchise very popular with girls, and I guess some of them will probably think of this :

Still waiting on Fire Emblem Nintendo.
but I guess Animal Crossing will have to do.

The Fire Emblem 3DS looks cool.

But I think this is still the best looking 3DS.

The Animal Crossing 3DS looks damn good though! I'd probably bite if by some chance they actually released it in NA.
