What's a PR?
I'm not trying to save myself here, though. There's no doubletalk going on here and I'm not attempting to deceive anyone. If some people think that I am, that's completely on them.
The whole point of me doing this is that I want to give the town a "safe" option to lynch in the situation where we don't have a strong case on anyone.

Okay, you have been consistantly engaging in a dangerous behavior Poltergust, and it has gotten to the point where I feel the need to make a big deal out of it. It relates to your question. "PR" is short for "Power Role", members of town who possess special abilities in addition to the basic voting power all townies possess. In contrast, a normal townie is called a "vanilla townie".
However, basic town strategy is to keep all clues as to the identities of town's power roles as quiet as possible. If the Mafia can narrow down who town's power roles are, they can kill our cops and doctors. This is why town tries to not claim who they are unless necessary.
Furthermore, that applies to vanilla townies just as much as power roles. If a bunch of vanilla townies admit that they are vanilla, then that significantly narrows down the list of PR candidates for the mafia to kill. So a vanilla townie should never casually admit to that fact.
So when I see you mentioning repeatedly how you are not important or a "safe" candidate for a lynch, it sets off a few alarms. The first time you did it, I took it as an innocent mistake. However, you keep making insinuations along those lines. An optimistic reading is that you are a townie who doesn't know better than to engage in wildly anti-town behavior. An alternative reading is that you are scum, and you are trying to play up how unimportant and unthreatening you are in order to get town to pass you off as just a newbie making mistakes.

Hm, that's a new thing to consider. By default, I consider everyone to be vanilla, so when someone says that they are vanilla it never really registers as a red flag to me or anything.
You are right though; I didn't even consider what the Mafia would think of my behavior. v_v
For the record, I will make some comment on my interpretation of roles in this game. In short, we shouldn't assume anything and can't presume any player is truly "vanilla" at this stage of the game.
Based on the example flip given in the OP, it appears that everyone in this game has been assigned a gender.
We have no idea what effect that has yet.
It might be assumed that it plays into power roles. It might be a really elaborate red herring.
Either way, it means that none of us are actually "vanilla".
If... (and this is still an if at this point) power roles do interact with gender, then we can't decide how critical or not any one person is yet. After all, we don't know what the gender ratio of roles is. For example, there may be only two or three male roles in the game, at which point male roles are effectively special. We don't know at this point.
Don't take this as an invitation to admit any details of your role! Keep all details of your role secret until it is absolutely necessary to flush out scum!

You don't have to come forward whoever you are. Just think about whether you can really trust whomever you've been paired up with.

A lil theory I had is that there is some kind of pairing scenario in which there are "lovers" of sorts but they don't know who their partner is. Or there's a Cupid like I was in Overwatch and the role is a neutral.
Either way, I don't think it's entirely implausible considering many popular anime series have some sort of partnership / love triangle. Senpai may truly notice us!

Most of Haly's posts in this thread have been one-line comments, usually rather light in scum-hunting at that. Why such strong reads? I think one of you called Haly "aggressive", but I would like some quotes to back up those impressions.

I'm willing to trust that Poltergust really didn't know about day powers, or what vanilla could mean. I think lying about not knowing how to play the game would be too much.

I don't know about Mafia, but Werewolf has Cupid, who wins when their selected Lovers are the only 2 other players remaining. The Lovers can only win this way, & die if their partner dies despite not knowing who their Lover is. Cupid has an "out" in some rulesets, where they join the Town if the Lovers die.
It makes a really difficult game for the Lovers. But this is Burb, so I expect there to be several Cupids.
