Anyone camping at gamestop for switch 2 preorder??

No Gamestops near me, but you better believe I'll be pressing F5 like a madman later tonight
 
no, I went the save route and instantly preorderd on Amazon... but also Gamestop recently closed their last german stores like in January I think lol... so I can't, even if I wanted to...
 
I'm living close to my local EBgames but I'm taking no chances, I'm going in there as early as possible.

No if I don't get a preorder I'll get one at some time. I'm not in a huge hurry. I have mostly played and collected old retro consoles over the past two years and still have a lot lined up I want to play / replay.

In my case, I'm getting the day off with pay. Over the last 8 years, I've purchased a PS4, digital PS5, Xbox Series S and X, SEVEN various Switches, and a Steam Deck OLED. I'm getting this on day one.

I'm referring to an adult with a family and or job actually camping outside overnight...I doubt theres going to be anyone actual doing that.

Getting the day off and showing early is a much different scenario 👍

Yes, camping would suck. But I do have kids; that's why I've had to buy so much shit. This for greedy little me, though. 😆
 
Gonna try and get one from Best Buy tonight. Got a $50 certificate I need to use. Not sure if I should go for the bundle or just the regular. I assume the bundle is going to be harder to get.
 
My local GameStop opens at noon, and it's close enough to drive by during my lunch break. Not gonna stress over it though....if they're out by the time I get there, then oh well.

Most reports (where Gamestop is hanging signs on their doors showing how many of each they'll have available) show that they'll have twice as many bundles are console-only units.
 
Not this time but I have fond memories of doing this with GTA Vice City.
I "won" a break dancing competition that Power 106 had (LA radio station), I was the only person that attempted to dance, so I kinda won by default. Got a $50 gift card.

For Switch I actually stood in line at a Bestbuy and managed to get one that night without a reservation. Think I was like the one of the last 2 people to get it. Was fun, I actually bought a 12 pack and shared beers with people in line, was a good time. But yeah, not this time
 
I remember for the Wii launch I camped out at a Best Buy overnight to get one. I had gathered about $400 worth of "Best Buy cash" from the then-recent McDonalds Monopoly game (where you got either $1 or $5 "cash coupons" to Best Buy) with value meals and whatnot.

When I got my console, the store manager was having none of my shit. Thankfully I also had money in the bank. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
 
I have tabs and 2 phones just in case. I am getting this for my kids and myself obviously, but I want to troll my oldest. His birthday is 6/14th so I want to wrap this up and have it say to Dad from Son. And Make him read the card.

Wii launch at my Walmart requires a ticket. I didn't have one but a lady had like 4. She sold me one for 20. The manager was like you didn't have a ticket. I said I do now. Bought my switch went home and went to bed.

I was single and made good money. Apartment rent was like 300 suv was 400.
