Anyone else get The Getaway: Black Monday demo?

works for Gamestop (lol)
I just got mine in the mail today. They're sending it to all Playstation Underground members it seems. Has anyone tried the demo yet?

Unless they improved it from the PAL version its a pile of uncontrolable garbage with nice choppy visuals.

Visuals stayed the same. The framerate is just barely improved. The camera is flooooaaaaaaaaatty (can you say motion sickness?). Same car controls. Different on foot controls.

Overall: LAME

I tried it for like 5 minutes, feels like the original Getaway except it seems like your car can survive headon collisions this time. I dont know, it felt a bit strange though. Game still has no HUD, you still follow blinking lights when driving in the car (which never gave me a problem in the original). Shooting seems to be the same, except it looks like you can throw frag grenades now? I didn't have enough time to try it out. I actually liked the first Getaway for some reason so I'm still looking forward to the sequel.

I like the rolling movie in the menu screen too. I like how the video is synchronized to the music

My brother informed me that the Demo of Black Monday came in today's mail. I gotta try it out since I actually liked the first Getaway title. GTA killer this is not, but better than True Crime.

People complained about the lights in the first game because it "leads you right into walls!" You were probably like me and not a total retard--I thought the blinking lights did a great job of giving you the idea of the general direction you should be heading. They've changed it a bit in Getaway 2 so the total retards playing it (read: those that want this to be Grand Theft Auto) shouldn't have the same problems. You still rely on blinkers, but they only blink when there's actually a turn nearby. Personally, I like it a bit less because it gives you much less time to react (if you blast through an intersection you might not even see the blinking), but it still works.

(Also, comparisons to GTA should stop. The only comparable aspects of the games is the ability to steal cars.)

Ben Mitchel the cop in the demo has a big head :P
Nice how you can switch between your MP5 and pistol by pressing R3.
