....that Tales of Symphonia's writers kinda didn't seem to know what to do with the plot and characters? I don't think I've ever seen a game where, on top of damn near every character having a "dark and tragic" past, has them changing allegiances, double crossing each other, and lying/pretending to each other with really obvious foreshadowing is used this heavily, and especially in the first half of the game. Would have been that hard to just write the story where everything the characters did or experienced WASN'T earth shaking?
