Anyone else NOT finish GTA:SA??

I h aven't finished yet, either, but I really like SA.

I started a game, played through up until Angel Pines, then stopped because
I only had $2000 and didn't like only having like 500 bullets
and I didn't know about the
gambling places being a way to maximize money
.

So I started over on another memory card, and worked more on doing the side missions. I finished the pimping, ambulance, vigilante, and 26/50 taxi missions, maxed out the muscle and stamina, and hustled pool players until I could buy a few safehouses. Then I found that
gambling place
and my money was pretty much set after that.

But then I finally got ahold of Pirates!, and well... sorry, GTA. I like you and all, but Pirates!

I'm not done and I'm still early in the game AFAIK. I had just saved some girl from an appartment complex when I stopped playing.

I wish I could say it was because of exams and such but really, it's just that I have to be in the right mood to play certain games. GTA3, and VC were like that. I bought them but then put them off for a time before I eventually got back to them.

Maybe the game is too big, but it isn't meant to be played straight through. My only complaint is that they didn't let you have different missions in different cities from the very beginning. If you are mad now, when you get to the airstrip you will hate it. And I'm still working on finishing it.

Yes I agree MGS3 is better, but GTA SA is still an awesome game.

I'm still in San Ferrio but I'm very disappointed how the rewards for the "collection" (tags, photos, horseshoes) missions suck so much. In Vice City, you got this whole assload of weapon spawns right at your door step PLUS you get the best chopper spawn in your backyard. Also, the layout of the roads are pretty badly done compared to 3 and VC. Constantly referring to the map in the Pause menu is extremely disruptive during mission and this never occurred in 3 and VC.

Perhaps because San Andreas is so much more bigger, it's harder to remember the roads. The layout of any of the cities in the game is no worse than 3 or VC (much better than VC in fact)

You clearly haven't finished the game if you think that the missions don't add "context" to the game world - whatever that's supposed to mean.

I am defining context in an obscure manner, but when you're going to argue with my personal value judgements you will do so within my own terms which will be obscure and personal. Context is defined as missions that make the world interesting for me. As such, none of the quotations you cited are innacurate for all involve distinct value judgements which can be seen in words such as 'meaningful', 'impactful', and 'context' (the first quotation is missing a word). The same goes for the angry fellow with the alien avatar.

Amen. Also, the map in SA just plain sucks ass.

I played like 5 missions then sold it to my friend. Decided to wait for the PC version because I prefer the controls and sharper/less choppy graphics on PC.

I disliked the graphics of this game and thought the frame-rate was shit. Also for every good mission that was in the game, you had a really bad one right after it.

I guess I'm just getting bored of GTA. GTASA just didn't click for me. Half-Life 2 and Halo 2 were pretty much more of the same also, but I had alot more fun playing them than I did GTA:SA

It's really surprising to see anyone praising Vice City over this masterpiece, to be honest. It's just in a different league.

I just bought the airstrip for Toreno and I'm on the flight school mission where you have to circle around the airstrip.... How in the FUCK do you get the plane high enough to pass overthe first corona. It's damned impossible! DAMNED IMPOSSIBLE!

Still plugging away, just not obsessively as when I first got . Up to about 80%, a few missions into Las Venturas, been doing the side stuff mostly, races, exports, quarry etc. I'm definitely going for 100% and I want to finish the missions as close to that as possible, with as little extra stuff to do as possible.

im having fun with it

I think we just need a better engine and better hardware this one is stale and dead imo

funny we have this "not finish" thread I just sold my le halo 2 to my cousin for 30 bucks since I didnt even want to play it past the abriter levels and online was a snooze.

I don't have the game, but I have played my friend's whenever I'm up there.

To be perfectly honest...the game doesn't really "catch" me like the other two did. It's strange, because the game DOES look a whole hell of a lot better, it's entertaining, and there's a shitload of stuff to do. The game is massive. But...I'm just not feeling it.

I was playing GTA: SA non-stop until I got MGS3. Then I replayed MGS1 / Twin Snakes and MGS2. Losing interest in SA is what killed it for me. Maybe with the upcoming winter break (2 weeks!), I can get back into GTA:SA.

Played it up until Zeros supply lines mission and dont really feel like wrestling with that plane 100 times to get past it.

If by finish you mean 100%, then I will never finish GTA:SA. I have played it to the end credits tho. And I think I still have some casino missions that require me to get some girlfriend or something, but that sounds like it requires a whole lot of boring ass dating to me.

Or you could just kill her and retrieve the keycard from her house afterwards...

Always the pacifist, Ceb proves once again that the only way to a woman's heart is through a bullet wound.
