Anyone gonna watch the Mike Tyson v Roy Jones Jr fight this weekend?

What time is it?

Yeah me and a few buddies are going to get together and pitch a few bucks to watch this. I think this fight is going to do very well in terms of profit, lots of people seem to be intrigued by this. Odds have been going back and forth between Mike and Ray, I don't think anyone knows what to expect. I'm personally going with Tyson based on how scary he looks recently

It's such a publicity-fight that it kinda seems pointless, but I'll watch it anyway.
Cuts = automatic finish.
No knockouts.
Huge gloves.
Two-minute rounds.

It's just a weird setup.

But, then again, it's two of the best there's ever been, so it'll be a fun bout no matter what.

It can easily go either way, of course, but I kinda see Jones winning. His fighting career is relatively newer, so he's presumably been practicing more recently than Tyson. Rumors say Tyson had to lose over 100 pounds to weigh in (I still can't find the actual weights for each fighter) which is an absolutely insane amount of weight to lose before a fight.
Depending on how long he's held that weight off, I see Tyson gassing pretty quickly, and Jones taking the win.

If Tyson has somehow been in good shape for a much longer time than it appears, he can easily take the win with a single punch.

Overall, it should be a fun sparring match to watch.

Two favorite fighters of all time, so I'll definitely be watching, despite the shitty rules in place. How do you even enforce a no knockout rule? I hope they don't go in there playing pitty pat with one another.

Hell yeah.
I'm not a fan of this no KO clause but it should still be fun.

Roy Jones Jr used to have insane movement and speed. I doubt he still has it but he's been active more recently so at the very least I'm expecting him to have it in him to keep a decent pace and high work rate.

Tyson looks scary on the pads but I'm not sure how his style translates to an exhibition fight where he can't KO his opponent.

Either way I hope they both put on a good show.

Did that fight take place underwater?
You're responsible for more than 50% of my deep inhales when trying not to laugh at work.

Hope Tyson won't breathe that heavy like a perv on the phone line. Jones Jr. knocked out would be great.

No knockout rule? What the hell is even that?

Its an exhibition. Not a real fight. The athletic commission isn’t even going to declare a winner. The promoter is getting WBC to provide judges to score it which I guess is something but nothing “official" in the traditional sense. People really shouldn’t buy this expecting a real fight.

Is it free? If not, I have better things to do than watch two waaaay past their prime boxers (both prolly on PEDs) do an exhibition for a paycheck.

I didn't keep up with the format. I thought this was going to be an exhibition fight, but still real in a sense where they try to beat each other with standard gear.

The format sounds awful.
