Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul live on Netflix [Tonight]

You've got to love the "it was rigged" crowd

Yea Right GIF

You are overlooking the extensive consequences that would unfold if proof emerged showing the fight was rigged

Imagine the shitstorm they would get if proof came out that it was rigged

It would damage the credibility of everyone involved. Boxing is already struggling with credibility. It would face a massive trust crisis. Sponsors and broadcasters would sever ties, and promoters would face legal repercussions for fraudulent activity
This wasn't no professional pay per view event.
It was a Netflix Special.

Has any exhibition fight ever lived up to the hype? I remember Connor vs Floyd was decent.

Ngannou's first boxing fight?

This girl will have a career because of the fight. Pam Anderson was discovered in a crowd at a ball game. This lady was in 3d for everyone.

Worth seeing for those that didn't watch the fight or closed the stream immediately after it ended (like me).

"I'm just fighting to take care of my bills".

I'm happy Mike gets to turn back on his cell service & hot water in his house.

Ok I'm being an asshole I'm out 😄

He wants those tigers back dammit.

But yea, wouldn't be the first time we've seen someone with a lot of money piss it all away and end up in a bad spot. Could also be a Bruce Willis scenario where he wanted to do something for his family at his own expense.

Jake Paul is still a massive dipshit but in the post fight interview he came across as somewhat respectful. He could have dropped Tyson's ass but didn't and he was at least looking to put on a show for the crowd.

I did appreciate his honesty about not wanting to disrespect the sport.

And that comment about "losing to fighters of that caliber" was a well hidden zing 😊

I always think doing these interviews directly after somebody just got punched in the head for 15-20 minutes is a little poor taste to begin with, but yea that line was good.

So what I'm hearing is, Tyson could have had his "Rocky Balboa" moment (like the sixth movie), but choked to some Youtube douchebag?

Because of this fight, I started to re-watch Mike Tyson Mysteries. I forgot how hilarious that show is. Mike Tyson is one funny dude.

R.I.P. Norm Macdonald

It was rigged

Of course it was rigged. I lost some respect for Tyson over this.

You can tell he held back with every counter and was telegraphing Jake by giving him cues on when and where to throw a jab.

Supposedly (in the contract) Tyson had to go all rounds and lose to get paid, and he would get zero money if he knocked out Paul. Also, they say he wasn't allowed to throw his uppercuts he was known for.

Fake as fuck and you'd be retarded not to see it.

This is WWE level shit.

I only saw the highlights on ESPN and Tyson fought like a 60 year old man.
The funny thing, is that Jake also fought like a 60 year old man.
Myke can be excused for it, because he is old. But Jake was just pathetic.
That dude couldn't even be a decent journeyman.
Jake wanted to go easy on the guy once he knew what was up. He could have dropped him at any point, Mike could barely stand by the 4th round.

It happened the way I told y'all it would happen. It's impossible to overstate the effects of 30 years of aging.

Punching bags or pads is totally different from squaring up against someone else, come on bro.

Keep repeating the social media BS narrative. The man is a boxing reflex machine, he was holding back those specific reflexes. Anyone who has watched him train and fight over a lifetime, even recent videos of him training others can see it. Come on, bro.

you know what slows down a lot as you get older?

and there is a big difference between your coach throwing fakes while you do combos and another guy who wants to hit you standing next to you.
