Anyone notice the sudden shift in temperature this past week?

A week ago it was still felt very cold whereas now it feels warm most of the time, almost boiling at times(like now) and i have to wear shorts. Strange, temperature changes throughout a year is usually a gradual thing.

For real though, I live in Florida.

Yeah, it's called spring.

Snark aside: The seasonal changes do appear to have become more abrupt and noticeable. It all fits into the theory of global warming though, so not surprising.

What year is it.gif

Also you all are just now paying attention to seasonal changes in the weather?

Yeah climate change is happening right now. Gonna get freakier and freakier very fast until we all die much sooner than all the scientists predict
I expected to die in like 2010 according to those guys.

They don't even talk about precession or sun activity.

I'm in the UK. last week was freezing and we had snow. Now that has fucked off it's quite mild. It often snows around this time of the year here so it wasn't unexpected. We've had much worse snow at this time of year than what we got last week. Looking at my smart meter my gas usage is dropping as the temperature has been getting warmer since December (as you'd expect) but the last week was a significant drop (rise in gas usage).

from here on out the weather is only gonna get warmer. while i'm glad to see the back of winter i'm also dreading summer. last year was fucking awful. i know americans will be all like "lol 30C is hot???" but for us in Scotland that is fucking roasting. our houses are built to trap heat, we don't have AC, and we don't get a lot of sunshine so it's quite a shock. last year i was blasting a fan 24/7 for weeks, struggled to sleep, showered 2-3 times a day, and even well into september it was so damn warm and humid.

each year is only going to get hotter with climate change. i love warm weather but i can't say i'm looking forward to this shit again. it'll be fine for a while but it'll get unbearable and i'll soon be wishing for winter.

I grew up where there were only two seasons and you could wear shorts pretty much any time. Hot and cool, that's it. Wild swings between those in September/October and February/March are normal. So I haven't noticed a difference.

The biggest changes in climate change I've seen have been in the PNW with the forest fires since 2018. They arose out of nowhere.

its just anecdotal. we had 2 warm sunny days and now it's cloudy and back down another 10 degrees. There are just high/low pressure systems that affect cloud cover and precipitation.

there will be the impulse to assign it to some claim.

Nah, it got really cold here last week after a very pleasant February. it snowed two days ago and dropped to 21 degrees. some spring weather this is.
