Mr Mike, just shut it and leave the trolling to the professionals....

I bought the game last night and frankly....

I'm impressed.

The graphics are really nice and atmospheric, the fighting seems pretty solid and coupled with a slightly dumbed down stealth engine it a FUN game. And isn't that the point?

Much like the LOTR games, Batman Begins oozes wth production value and offers a nice extension to the movie.

I'm not too far in that it will spoil the movie, but I likey.

One thing I noticed though, guns are bad... REALLY bad. If your stealth isn't up to snuff, you are DEAD. Someone empties a clip into your rubber coated torso and you are pushing up bat-daisies

I'm not trolling. You're right, it's a very, very well made, slick production. But it's a horrible game, the stealth is laughable. And I'm no EA hater - I've defended them here before.

Out of interest can anyone explain why, when you take out an enemy car, it says "No casualties" even though it's an horrific crash? Is it DC forcing EA to make it clear Batman isn't killing civilians?

There's one flaw with your "review", it's NOT a horrible game.

It's actually quite fun, yours seems to be the only opinion to the contrary.

I played Batman a bit more this morning. The Batmobile sequence was entertaining, fits with the movie. Yes it feels like Burnout 3 with the Batmobile but who the hell cares because it works. I'd rank Batman Begins up there with EA's LotR games and Spiderman 2 as one of the best movie licensed games this gen.

Mr Mike must be holding a grudge after being violated by the previous Batman games.

I've played this at e3.... and it sucked bad.

Worst Animation EVER

Isn't E3 a showcase for unfinished games and demos?

must have been fixed, animation looks fine (I am playing the Xbox version).

Anyone who likes this game has obviously been brainwashed by EA.. AM I RITE?!?!?!?

Seems like an OK movie game from what I saw on Attack of the Show yesterday. If the movie gets me pumped enough I'll rent it and pretend I'm a superhero. I can't have any other games disrupting my psychonauts love though.

I have not touched the game but if it is even HALF as good as the movie then it is gunna be a damn fine game.

I am still blown away they not only pulled off the movie as a Batman movie but that it is just all around such a damn good movie even for people who have NEVER liked Batman.

I went in thinking i was gunna hate the Batmobile but to my amazment it worked. The Batmobile in the movie actually works and is a damn cool sceen.

again. forget the game, just go see the movie... :)

DC superheros are just so boring.

Right... thanks for contributing with your deeply though out post. We are all better off for reading your insightful post.

The world is a better place now with you posting these gems of intellignece.

It kills me the lengths some people will go to, just to needlessly crap all over a thread.

If you find DC characters boring, why post in a thread that SPECIFICALLY ABOUT A DC CHARACTER?

Makes no damn sense....

Where else am I supposed to shit on them, a thread about Kirby?

Played a little last night and I enjoyed it. It's got nice production values and the gameplay, while lacking depth, is surprisingly fun. A must have for Bat fans and a solid rental for anyone else I think.

The movie was awesome. As long as this game is no Enter the Matrix, I'm getting it.

If you believe the IGN PS2 "review", it's worse than Enter the Matrix.

Enter the Matrix, one of the buggiest and worst games this generation, got a 7.2

Batman Begins, which is pretty damn good, got a 6.8 and didn't even get reviewed. They just had an AIM chat and posted that as the "review".

Matt Cass said if he had to review the demo, he would rate it higher than 7.5 or something...

I hope he gives it a 7.5 just to make the IGN PS2 "review" look as stupid as it is.

Yup, except that the game was programmed by Eurocom, which in my book far outweighs the EA factor...

I will buy this simply for the fact that Eurocom has always stated that the money they get from doing these jobs will help them to fund Sphinx 2. That, and it's a decent Batman game. :)

Man registers opposite opinion! People turn on him and attack him for being 'wrong'.

More news from Arkham Asylum as we get it!

Dude you can just go to another thread if you disagree with me!

It's not a bad game by any means, but it's one of the most hand-holding linear games I've ever played. It really walks you through the game from room to room and you're rarely scratching your head pondering where to go next.

It's nowhere near the travesty that was Dark Tomorrow, or whatever that Kemco piece of crap was, however.

lets see here.. akascream. you are just flat out trolling. Plain and simple.

"DC superheros are just so boring"

Ok, thanks for sharing, so why would you come into a thread thats ABOUT a DC character? Just to troll.. ok thanks.

Your opinions weren't backed up by anything and therefore came off as trolling.

Mr Mike, you have nothing to back up your opinions either. if you feel it's "atrocious", try backing up your statments a bit instead of posting just a 3 or 4 word response.

The game is not atrocious, if that's how you feel you haven't played many other Batman games. See Dark Tomorrow for that.

Like somone else had said, it's not a bad game by any means, but it does hold your hand a little too much.

Which version should I get after I see the movie?

I really don't think it matters. All 3 versions are the same.
Xbox is going to be just a tad sharper graphics wise.Overall not enough of a difference to really matter.

The controller layout is going to lend itself better to PS2/Xbox for obvious reasons so you may want to factor that as well.

Bullshite, I hate the default "controller" argument, because in alot of cases it just doesn't hold true.

I'm gonna go grab the cube version this weekend.

Whatever floats your boat, but remember this is EA/Eurocom. I'm pretty sure it was programmed with the PS2 in mind.

GC controller isn't for me, I use the Duke as my default controller for my gorilla hands. That should give you some clue as to why the GC controller isn't for me.

To each their own....
