The very first two fight scenes in John Wick 3 were awesome and then it fell flat! I loved it though because I'm a fan of the series but it was a lot weaker compared to the first two. John Wick 1 & 2 were both great in different ways but 3 took the story and made it a little long in the tooth.Watched John Wick 3 recently. Didn’t watch the first two, but I knew what they were about and could understand from context what was going on.
It was damn good. I forgot how fun action movies can be. And I’m being told it’s weaker than the first two, so I guess I gotta watch those now.
Or Japanese.Watch korean cinema, that's where the good stuff is nowadays.
Yep, although Japan had its truly shining moment 90s and beginning of 2000s. Right now korean is unbeatable IMO specially with thrillers, drama and horror. Of course it is hard to beat the japanese classics all the way back to Kurosawa.Or Japanese.

I saw Midsommar and I highly recommend it. This movie will stay with me for quite some time I think.

Saw Far From Home 3 days ago and it was fantastic

I completely agree with you. Peele takes a lot from artsy/Euro-horror and it doesn't translate well for mainstream American audiences. I'm not looking forward to his Candyman remake that takes on "toxic fandom" or whatever he plans to do.Us. I'm completely lost why everyone seems to love this movie. The plot was absurd, the twist was predictable, and at no point was it remotely scary. I also thought that Lupita who everyone was raving about was over the top and overacty. The humor was the only thing that really worked for me, and even that was hit and miss.
As a pretty big fan of Get Out I was surprised how much I hated it. I would be curious to see what the consensus would be if Us wasn't a Jordan Peele movie.

The movie is beyond dumb and I love it. Best part is when Ed Harris says “I planned for every possible contingency” and then he pulls out a rocket launcher that he uses to a shoot a taxi. AmazingGeostorm
Turned off brain and it was alright. Engaged 10% of my brain and it starts to unravel quickly lol.
That reminds me I need to rewatch that fucking great filmCradle 2 The Grave... bruh... BRUH!!!!!
this shit was great. i was expecting something like Exit Wounds but this was way better. 8.5/10.
Check your breathing patterns lol ooo ahh.I saw Midsommar and I highly recommend it. This movie will stay with me for quite some time I think.
I really liked it, and I'm not sure I recommend it to anyone but other film weirdos. It toes a line between horror and comedy so extreme that I think people will completely misinterpret it as "unintentionally funny". It's not. It's a jet black break-up comedy movie. I love when people in a theater don't know whether to laugh or cry and that has this in spades.
I saw Midsommar yesterday and it's the biggest disappointment of the year for me by miles.
I loved Hereditary and had been warned that this was more of a comedy but I didn't find it remotely funny or scary in any way. The film was incredibly slow and boring. There were no shocks, no twists, no scenes that will stick with me. The best thing I can say about it was that the location was beautiful and the start was pretty harrowing but other than that the whole film fell flat.
I saw it in a group of six and everyone hated it. I heard a couple leaving the cinema saying it was one of the worst films they'd ever seen as well.
I pride myself on being a film weirdo but this film was just boring and forgettable for me.
