I need to get Windows XP to throw certain reminders at me every day. For instance, everyday at 4:30PM I need a message to pop-up that says "Go walk the dog" or something. Does XP have an option for reminders?

Yeah, but I don't keep my Outlook running constantly. It annoys me.

Well, you're probably going to need to keep something running. As far as I know, XP doesn't have a built-in calendar function beyond what happens when you double click on the clock.

Use system scheduler and have it run a batch file (or text file, if you're lazy) at whatever times of the day.
