I don't think you read the thread if think I don't know what I'm talking about. I referenced Nixon deleting tapes a few posts later. I know these things take time, that still doesn't change the fact no one has been able to find a smoking gun yet.

I don't know if it was pointed out yet, but the Trump taxes returns we got were from 2005. The year before Manafort moved into Trump tower.

Yeah if we get on anything from the last decade I'd be interested to see how it looks at that point.

With that being said, I've got so many 2's and 2's to put together I could get to 2048 easy.

I'm sure that's the impression that he'd like to cultivate *now* but he has plenty of direct, questionable ties to Russian oligarchs of his own, like the one oligarch that bought a Florida property from him for 2.5 times the asking price and whose private jet has coincidentally landed at the same small airports at the same exact time as Trump's private jet multiple times since then.

Trump is completely unscrupulous and has no respect for the principles this nation was founded on. For him to be nothing more than a puppet would require a degree of ignorance so willful, he'd practically have to be a literal manchurian candidate for it to be believable.

It's an interesting timeline. The Ukraine has been trying to question Manafort for a bit now, but the White House hasn't cooperated. Now the AP comes out with this incredibly well sourced story. Feels like the Ukraine is trying to force Trump's​ hand.

Sometimes when this stuff comes out I think it seems more and more obvious that something untoward was going on and something will have to be be done, obviously. But he keeps getting to govern and the majority of people around me don't seem to notice or care, I start to wonder if I'm the conspiracy theorist now.

I don't know what you all are referring to but there's no magic button you can press that produces "answers". The essence of investigation is that people still have to talk, and that can take years.

Not aimed at you, but its kinda annoying how some people go into every thread about this expecting a megaton and quickly dismissing anything that isnt as a non story.

That's not what I said though. All I said was that When Compared to the length of the Watergate investigation, investigations now have so much more technology than before and criminals leave so many more digital footprints than before. I wasn't saying it should be quick. I was just saying it shouldn't take upwards of 2 years like Watergate.

My dad used to tell me that Obama was going to ruin the place and he was the most disastrous president of all time. The conspirators were socialists that wanted to take our freedom. He gave me a copy of a Glen Beck book and said it was important I read it.

Now that we have an actual threat as president, he doesn't want to talk politics anymore.

Not a joke or troll. Others in here, aside from myself, also pointed out this as per the AP report. It's a just small piece to a potential bigger puzzle.

His "unofficial" campaign manager whom Trump asked to step down amid the controversy when this came out pre-election. There was nothing in the story that indicated Trump had direct involvement in Manafort's dealings with Russia. Yes, he lived in the hotel and was part of the campaign but that's not enough.
