Apparently, my man Musk is rocking a RTX 4060 for his gaming PC (in DOGE office)

A 4060 is actually sufficient for that monitor. One half will be dedicated to playing games, the other to destroying the country and sliding into the DMs of conservathots to carry more of his brood.
The second half had me howling dude.
It’s really f-d up and they are going to severely damage our government, infrastructure, intelligence gathering and more.

Whole bunch of analysts just got fired from CIA as an example. Shit is downright depressing. It’s destruction for sake of destruction by people who don’t understand what the f they are doing.

He doesn't even realize the damage he did to my department today and we have idiots cheering this on while planes are literally falling out of the fucking sky

Make dead Nazis cool again
Did you email your 5 bullets?
They would have to hire 7000+ people to do that properly.

Why? Managers should have already known if people were doing value added work. Too much waste in the government.

While i support the cuts overall sorry to hear you were affected and hope you find new opportunities.

You support cuts by people who don’t know what the f they are cutting, think that SSA was paying millions of people who were over hundred years old and made “small” mistakes like confusing $8million with $8billion?

And those people who were let go for “performance”? That’s right, bunch verified they just went through stellar reviews.

Nobody disputes there is waste in Gov, but the way Musketeers are going about it is actively damaging our nation.

Japan and the United States employee a similar 3 million people. Our government IS small, smaller than you think at only 4% of the budget. People point to the most ridiculous examples and go "SEE, SEE, WE TOLD YOU THERE WAS WASTE!" And act as if it applies to everyone, all the "waste" they've discovered is literally pennies from every tax payer: give me a fucking break. I worked in cyber security from the DoD, a growing sector that they fought hard to say was exempt but that stop him it seems

Using other countries as a metric for what we should do is not a valid argument. 4% of our budget is billions.

Not going to get into it in detail here as it veers into politics but what I will say is I have very firsthand knowledge that confirms USG has no idea what it is doing with cyberscecuirty development when it comes to military applications. I am not surprised it was cut.

You literally don't know what you're talking about and it shows. Period.

It's crazy to use the ugly box from a stone age,

whereas Apple and console manufacturers offer compact and nice looking devices!
I've been rocking a Kingwin 436 Aluminum since the early 2000s. Every time i think of going ITX or HTPC or even just a new case, i open up my 436 and she brings me back home. So stout, roomy, simple and gorgeous. Classics never die.

No but isn't this not a puzzle at all, it's enough to drive performance applications at this resolution and refresh rate without issue and there's no need for a bigger louder high end gaming card for whatever he's doing, might be more CPU focused. His legion of 19 year olds are probably doing any of the GPGPU AI work.

My work has similar 49" monitors and has Quadro A2000s with ECC running them

Ok. I only do hardware design for cyber security for defense contacts for DOD. Let me know when you can write a requirement that means something.
I've had to deny, approve and redesign entire cyber projects top to bottom for 2 years. It was literally my job! My entire office wall is filled with topology print outs of designs.

Having to deny the most asinine design plan from contractors like you who think outside access was appropriate from people who weren't on base or in uniform was part of the job.

99.99 of contractors exist strictly to push markestructure as I call it and then get mad when we push back and say we're the ones who don't know what we're talking about because we aren't buying.

From Ratheon to Booz you're all the same.

If you can't tell your manager what you did today than you are fat that needs to be cut.

lol....none of this has anything to do with an employee telling their boss what they do.

Wait you are a government contractor? I wouldn't be so eager to see job cuts if I were you.
