I thought they were going to show the iPhone?
Next month. Covid caused some delays.
I thought they were going to show the iPhone?
Well, they add features to their products every year and prices normally stay the sameSure, but they also added features to the watch and haven't increased the price since Series 4.
How do you charge it then? So, they did remove the charger on the AW and didn't reduce the price. People will defend this I'm sure.
How do you charge it then?
As I understood they just removed the "brick", the magnetic cable is still provided.
yeah just plug it into one of a thousand USB ports you have.As I understood they just removed the "brick", the magnetic cable is still provided.
In the market for AppleTV since my roku doesn’t have the peacock or hbo max app so here is hoping they fixed the god awful remote.
IOS 14 drops tomorrow? My IPad air 2 not supported
My longest supported apple product I still use daily.
I'm just really glad that they're ditching the old design which is flawed to hell. My iPad Air 3 is 14 month old and has developed the same "white spot" (always above the home button - lots of people online complain about it) issues my old iPad Pro from 2017 has.Really tempted by the new iPad. As someone with very little interest in paying $800 or so for an iPad, it’s really awesome to see the Pro features trickling down to the old $600 price (which I am super glad exists again).
I hope it stays like this, with the Pro being for ultra-premium stuff, and the Airs having most, or enough of the features.
Hmm. Basically since they were comparing it to the last iPad Air's A12 the whole time, which the A13 was already notably faster than, if you work backwards it looks like about a 16% CPU gain and 8% GPU gain vs the A13, which would be one of our smaller generational upgrades. Particularly the GPU, usually with smaller nodes and more transistors to throw at them, those are easier to scale in performance.
I wonder if the A14 was aimed more at lowering performance with both 5G and ProMotion having been expected, even if the latter didn't make it in. Makes it more of a shame it didn't make it if so. Because otherwise this is the smallest performance jump generation since they started making their own chips, which is odd with all the extra density 5nm offers.
Ya it is?
iPadOS 18
iPadOS 18 brings new ways to work with Apple Pencil, new experiences in apps, deeper customization options, and support for Apple Intelligence.www.apple.com
I didn’t watch the event, so the new iPad Air is the premium one compared to the regular iPad, but not the Pro? When are preorders open? I’m in the market for an iPad that can use the pencil.
I still marvel at the "sunflower" iMac. Such a fucking cool design. Or the G4 Cube, which I still consider one of the sexiest computers ever made.I remember in the late 90ies and 2000s when there was a freaky mindbending great new design almost every year coming from Apple instead of little bullshit in the same chrome cases year for year.
I miss Steve Jobs.
Anyone know when ios14 drops? Some people said 1 Eastern but that was an hour ago and still nothin

I’ve been dinkin around with an old 7 with no battery life since I destroyed my XS in July, put the 12 right into my veins
Dang how'd you break it ??
Yeah, we’ve really hit the point of diminishing returns. I used to buy a new iPhone every year, but I’m still rocking an iPhone X that is, holy shit, 3 years old now, mostly because it’s still relatively fast, has lots of space, and does everything I need it to do.The all-new iPhone, the FASTEST ever iPhone, over 30% FASTER, 5 cameras, 4k screen, 3 new features, only for $1999. Charger $199, USB cable $99. Box $49.
I'm really hoping they can pull some tricks out of the bag, because if not, it's all the same shit, a bit faster, 1 or two new features, yet ridiculous prices.
