I bought the Targus Stylus for painting.EriCKY said:Is there a general consensus on what the best stylus is? I wanna do some note taking and it seems much more intuitive if you had a stylus to act as a pencil.
What app is this?brianmcdoogle said:So I'm a dropbox junkie, as my camera app automatically uploads pictures to dropbox and my voice memo app uploads to dropbox as well. I'm looking for a simple drawing app that automatically saves pictures i've drawn to dropbox.
For example, I'm using ArtStudio right now, but what I want it to do is automatically upload a picture with the touch of a button instead of me having to save a picture to the camera roll, open dropbox app, and then upload to dropbox. Any ideas?

Also, just got my octavo case which is really terrific. Holds the iPad really securely, and the sound is a lot louder too. Can't recommend it enough.

Great, thanksbrianmcdoogle said:I tried a couple but I really like Quickshot. It has several options that I liked. It can geotag just like Camera app, you can choose to save pictures on the camera roll OR just upload them to dropbox. It uploads in the background, and it also uploads full quality pictures.
It uploads fine in the background, the quality is the same as the Camera app, and I really like the option to just upload and not save photos to the camera roll.

It's a new app (Nov last year) that has been working out the kinks with the many updates since then (10 at my last count). It's not easy switching note taking apps as there isn't a standard file format for the data. Some apps save the notes as images, others use pdfs and some even offer both as export options. It's a decent idea using one app for note taking and pdf annotation (put all your documents in there and it's like a course binder) but it's more important to figure out a work flow early and stick with. If you're happy with UPad that's great. By the way, there are other note taking apps which already include audio recordingxcrunner529 said:As a student, I've downloaded Notetaker HD, GoodReader, and UPad for annotating/taking notes in class. I never seem to see UPad mentioned very much, but I am beyond impressed with it. Is it a newer app or something?
It basically gives me the ability to take regular notes with the zoom textbox while also letting me annotate PDFs. Obviously I'd like to see audio recording (synced with the text) and dropbox support, but it's so easy to annotate. Is this the best combo or should I be looking into 1 app for note taking and 1 app for annotating?

AppleInsider Noah sent details and video on Tuesday from the iPad 2 line at Apple's New York City retail store in SoHo. The line of customers reportedly wrapped around Prince Street, north on Greene Street and almost to Houston, while most who were waiting were said to be speaking mostly Mandarin and some Cantonese.
"Ten or so minutes after they allowed the line in, we were told that all of the AT&T versions were sold out," he said in an e-mail. "Some people left grumbling (me included). Ten minutes from them, the same went for all Wifi models. Only Verizon's versions remain."

So which one are you looking for? FWIW, I ordered from MacConnection.com, they quoted a 2 week+ shipping time, and they shipped it in like 6-7 days and I got it 2 days after they shipped.jon bones said:yea i didn't even bother today

What are the thoughts around here?
I've only tried Evernote so far, and though I love the idea, I think the executions falls a bit flat.
I takes a bit too much to load notes, and sometime I'd only want to write something quickly and I just can't with Evernote.
Plus, I read that Simplenote allows to share notes between users.
I'm thinking about that as a big pro. My gf and me for example could make shared shopping lists and argue no more about what has to be bought and what not.![]()
Icab has Dropbox integration for downloading files, ad blocking, filters, modules, and has a tab bar like desktop browsers. It is great.Devin Olsen said:What is the best browser for the iPad?

Set up an appointment at the Genius Bar. Show the dead pixel. That's it - they'll replace it for you.-Pyromaniac- said:I asked this on Macrumors but I figure I'll get a better response here, so I'll copy paste:
Guy I have some questions. I got my ipad 2 today and it has a dead pixel or whatever. What do I do to get it replaced? Will I have to wait until stock stabilizes before I can go in and get it exchanged? Should I reserve one (lol) and then go in and exchange for it, that seems wrong for some reason. Should I call in ahead and tell them about it and see what they say to do? Really don't know what's the best choice. It's not terrible but it's one of those things that once you see you can't unsee.
Also I assume I can go to any apple store and not just the one I bought it in right? Any help is good, thanks.
Just not sure what the policy is or what I can do at this point in time (if anything).
