I saw something written about Foodish on my RSS feed the other day. Looked good, never used it. Dunno if there's an iPad version.JLateralus said:Does anyone use any food journal type apps? I'm looking for something I can use primarily on my iPad.

I've tried exchanging mine but the replacement had the same issues. :/jon bones said:apple is awesome with exchanges, even if you buy from best buy. go balls deep, it'll all be OK in the end
Not for me. Perfectly happy with my OG. Aside from when the iPad 2 was released, and hype was everywhere, I didn't question my decision to not upgrade.Jarmel said:Is it worth the upgrade from an Ipad 1? Even from a jailbreaking perspective?

it's cheap, has great construction, built-in magnets that activate the screen when the case is opened, and serves as a very versatile stand. ordered it on Friday and received it today. very impressed.

hmm - the cases look identical except that the Toblino is missing a fold on the front to fold back as a keyboard stand. don't think you can go wrong with either.VPhys said:I'm deciding between this case and the Toblino 2 case on amazon. I think the Toblino may be worth the extra $10 but I haven't decided yet.

It's the best DJ app out now. I have it and it's worth the 20 dollar price tag imho. If you dont want to plunk down 20 bones, try the iphone version for 99cents. Works just as well on the ipad if you dont mind the 2x mode.Jugendstil said:Has anyone tried the app djay? It looks cool but $20 is pretty steep to make a blind purchase.

You can backup your device via iTunes.
Can I connect a camera to it and download the photos?
Can I connect a basic USB keyboard to the device?
With the Camera connection kit, you can plug some USB devices and SD Cards
Is iPhone the only device that can share internet to the WiFi iPads or could she use another mobile phone with it?
As long as the other phone can broadcast a wifi signal, your iPad should see it.
Pretty much anything that uses SD cards will work if you use the card reader*, while for the cameras most work a standard way when hooked up through USB, like if you hook them up to a computer you can open up whatever photo app and import the photos. If the particular camera works like that, it should work on the iPad.arnoldocastillo2003 said:Do you know what kind of cameras are supported for the camera connection kit? is there a list of compatibility somewhere?

iPad1 or iPad2?
Wait for iOS 5?Angelus Errare said:So I bought a Xoom which I love (the core UI that is, the actual design elements are hit and miss.) the lack of quality apps is really killing me though. So been thinking about exchanging it for an iPad. I wish I could have a tablet OS with Honeycomb's core user experience (I really feel its better geared toward the whole "bridge between laptop and desktop" better than iOS's core user experience. Rows and rows and rows of icons and pop up notification is really...horrible.) with Apple's polish and attention to detail. Ugh
So here's the question
iPad1 or iPad2?

You can get the Dragon Dictation app (free) for speech-to-text. Sometimes you need to sync twice to get videos to show up (at least that's a problem I run into on the iPhone.VPhys said:Trying to figure this out has been driving me crazy.
How exactly do you put videos on the ipad?
I've already converted the files to mp4 using handbreaks ipad setting. Then I place the video files in the ipad folder that set to sync pictures. I check the box that says sync videos also. I sync, the photos sync but when I click the videos icon on my ipad it comes up empty and tells me there are no videos and I can download them from the itunes store.
By the way I'm here with my ipad and my droidX side by side, I typed this entire message on my cellphone. The ipad seriously needs sywpe or speech to text. While I admit the ipad is better for consumption, my phone is a vastly superior input device.
Check out AVPlayerHD, I had been using the iPhone version on my iPad I finally purchased it. Easy to use with drag n drop through iTunes or Wifi upload and it supports tons of video/audio formats.VPhys said:Trying to figure this out has been driving me crazy.

If you can afford it, go with the ipad2. Why deny yourself something on the chance something better will be coming a year down the line? Also, I believe the data plan is $20, but unless you live in the wilderness, you're better off just going wi-fi.Trojita said:Would you guys recommend at this point waiting for next years refresh with hopefully a retina display or just getting an iPad 2? I was checking them out in best buy and it was pretty cool. Also how much does the data plan cost?
