"Why did we make it this size?"

....

"It's because of your hand. It should fit there. That's how we designed the iPhone 5."

come on Apple, no one is that stupid.

Some of us aren't in the market for a bro-phone. I like having a phone that my thumb can each every corner of.

^Haha

Battery Life.

MOST important thing for me! All these new stuff is nice but I want to enjoy it more then a couple of hours before I have to charge it again.

Same here. That's the biggest niche for smartphone improvement, even if it's not exciting to talk about. This looks promising.

The graphics are neat but am I the only one feeling a little underwhelmed so far?

I'm not a Apple hater, new iPad, iPhone 4 and a 2011 iMac back that up. But I think they really need something awesome.

Me too - but it is early in the event. I just really dislike the screen getting longer; the 4S is perfect for me.

Only 8MP. A bit of a dissapointment. I thought Apple would match Sony with a 12 or a 13.

Megapixels don't fucking matter. Nobody is printing camera phone images. Quality and high ISO/low light performance are way more important than pixels.

I'm whelmed. I like Apple products but there is nothing particularly innovative that they have showed so far. It seems like the expected bump to keep up with the competition.

I mean there's nothing they can really do that will top the retina display intro any time soon outside of a complete redesign

I don't know a whole lot about wireless standards, but there's an excellent carrier in my area that uses the "AWS" band and doesn't support iPhones because iPhones don't support "AWS". Does the stuff they just announced fix that?

Unless I am mistaken, nothing that they have shown so far would imply that the iPhone 5 has AWS support. T-Mobile's absence from the USA carrier list is telling, as they are the only major wireless telecom company in the country that uses AWS. I hope that answers your question.

Still going to wait for user reviews before getting it. I dived in head-first with the iPhone 4 and the next thing I knew that damn antenna-gate issue popped up.

Didn't know about it. What happen to the Orange and T-moblie brand? Will it going to change or only for LTE network.

It was a bit vaguely worded the press-release but I think EE will be a 4G only brand to start with. With iPhone 5 tied heavily into the promotion.

Orange/T-Mobile will probably be phased out as they move to a complete 4G network which they said would cover 98% by 2014. It begins roll out in 16 cities in a few weeks.

designed for the hand, eh? now show someone reaching for the back button. bah... I'm still upset about the new AR

You guys will bow down to what Apple gives you and you will like it.
Once this bigger iPhone comes out, you guys will be all over it.

Hey maybe Apple will introduce some navigation gestures that help with one-handed use on a bigger screen? Have faith.

Dude, Everyone in the thread is loving the phone. Apple fans will take what Apple gives them.

I honestly think it looks great, and is not too wide on the sides for the small hands to hold.
