Mobile tech has literally exploded with innovations.
Heck, nVidia and AMD seem to have seriously doubled down on mobile technology.

they're going to keep the shops and brands for now. I guess in time it will all merge into EE.

The average person I doubt would even notice going from an A5 to A6. 4S is pretty friggen fast and almost instant with opening most apps. Not a major selling point for me personally. Maybe some of you though.

With 16:9 and games running in "full console quality," I wonder if they're planning on having the iPhone/iPod Touch become both console and controller when working in conjunction with Apple TV. (Either mirroring on the TV or having controls display on the device screen, but having the game output to the TV.)

Don't like this new resolution at all. Would rather it get a tad fatter than taller. the thing is already too thin to read a lot of webpages on without constantly scrolling left and right.

Agreed. I was hoping for an overall bigger screen, not one that is just taller. Bah! Right now the iPhone's screen just feels so small compared to other phones (I don't want a 5in screen either, but a 4in with its current screen dimensions would be preferred).

I seriously do wonder why anyone would want anything bigger.

For years people have wanted smaller portable tech, but that seems to have taken a complete reverse nowadays.

The tech will continue to get better. A larger screen just makes the whole experience better. Does everyone need a Note? No, but a 4.5" screen is a beautiful thing to have on the go.
