But it's early days for him, like Batista in the early to mid 2000s, he's still in the learning stage, while Ambrose/Rollins have been wrestling since they were teenagers.

I think the problem with Rollins, is that while they saw him being a star, they weren't as sure how to make him a star, since his mic skills were weak (back then, they've improved in the Shield) and he didn't have any obvious character to go with. Hence why the heel run in the Shield, which has done wonders for him.

Ambrose, is a natural, he was always going to be easy to push, and Reigns has the look and the intensity, while he is still inexperienced. Rollins was a lot more work. He's talented, but he's not a natural on the non-wrestling side of things.

It wasn't so much that Rollins' mic work was bad (it never really was) it was that Rollins was basically a CM Punk Starter Kit on the mic. Like the dude literally sounded like he was imitating Punk on purpose sometimes. But it wasn't bad, necessarily. When he was working for other companies--companies that didn't have Punk on the roster--it was fine.

Well what's wrong with Rollins mic work is his voice, which is CM Punk on helium with none of the confidence. He's working on that, though. He has like a "big boy" voice he does for the Shield promos.

Rollins vs Corey Graves on NXT was funny though. It was like 2005 Punk vs 2002 Punk.

He's a natural face, that's inevitable. Like Ambrose is a natural heel. But who knows how it'll go? They've all got long careers ahead of them in WWE, assuming all goes reasonably ok, they're all only 26/27.

Reigns will get the forced push and be WWE champion. Rollins will get jobbed out for a couple of years if he survives they'll give him a WHC run. Ambrose will just linger for years until they finally realize what they have and push him if he sticks around he'll eventually be WWE champion.

Judging by the disturbing tumblr fangirl nonsense posted in wrestling forums, so far the teenage girls are taking to Ambrose the most. Rollins does tap into that same spot as Hardy does, though, only without the drugs and with actual wrestling skills.

Under Vince, that'll happen. I don't know about HHH, though. He seems more fond of the long term deliberate build (think Evolution, which built Orton and Batista up from rookies to main event guys over the course of about 2-3 years).

Vince isn't going anywhere, he's 67 so he still has 15 to 20 years left before he either dies or steps down
