People always assume BR and similar games are free to play because of Fortnite. Also, Embark's last game The Finals is free to play.

Pretty sure ARC Raiders was confirmed to be paid before even the last beta/test though.

Yeah, I'm guessing that's the case. But as far as I know games that are solely Extraction based haven't been free...

I am out. my time will be busy with BF6 anyway to invest in any other online game for some time. Hell thats not including COD which I might pass on too if I got too engaged with BF6.

luckily thre is 1 month and a half almost of a gap between the 2 games to determine if I should just play BF6 only or mix it with COD.

"We've decided to give you another scuffle on the surface and a chance to hop in and experience the game one more time before launch! Scavenge for loot, take a chance on an encounter with another Raider, and try to thin the ARC numbers a little.

This event will bring you to the Dam Battlegrounds where you'll experience elements of progression and crafting while completing a set of quests to provide you with a little taste of the ARC Raiders experience, while saving some surprises for the full launch. We'll be stress-testing the servers during the event to get everything running smoothly before it all kicks off on October 30, so please invite your friends and give those servers a challenge!

No codes this time. Everyone's welcome. The Server Slam will be live on all platforms (Steam, Epic Games, PS5, Xbox X|S) and access will roll out slowly on day one. Progress made during the Slam will not carry over to the launch version of the game. Participating Raiders will, however, get a Server Slam Exclusive backpack to always signify that they were part of this historic moment, delivered to you after purchasing the full game at launch".

Nah. It comes out in a perfect time. 2 weeks after BF6. In this day and age, most players are moving on from a game after 2 weeks lol. Im gonna buy and play both thats for sure

They wouldn't be releasing in-between BF and COD if they were concerned about either of those titles.
