Lol at spider man. Same game as previous 2 but new story and cutscenes.

Neither for me, but I got starfield as bundle with my 7950x3d processor. So I'll try that for 1 hour before I get bored and overwhelmed.

Spider man is so boring to me I didn't finish the first 2 even.

But which will sell more ? Hands down spider man 2. Not even close. Unless you want to count the PC user base then probably close .

Now if you add final fantasy 7 rebirth ?

Lol that 100%

Couldn't care less about any Bethesda game personally and havent been disappointed in a insomniac game like ever. So easy spiderman for me.

I am interested in the success of starfield though. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a game of the generation game for most people and also wouldn't be surprised if it's kind of a dud. As for Spidey, I feel like the floor is like a high 80s metacritic but doubt it's gonna be regarded years later or anything like that.

Starfield and by quite a huge margin. Honestly I feel like I have gotten enough Spiderman with the last two games. Nothing shown yet has me as excited as I do for what Starfield has shown. Traveling through space has me more excited than swinging through NYC again. Combine that with Armored Core, Baldur's Gate 3, Sea of Stars, and Ys X (Japan release) all coming up, spiderman 2 is going to be a title I'll be waiting quite a while to pick up.

Oh I also forgot to mention the biggest drawback of Spider-Man is that *becomes enraged* I absolutely do not want some fucking asshole constantly yapping in my ear on comms about whatever the fuck is happening in the city besides whatever the spider fuck I'm choosing to be on at the moment

That gaming trend can die forever. Okay?

And yes I know Starfield will probably have some comms talk, but I know Bethesda and it's just not going to be anywhere remotely close to the same level of nagging/interrupting. They absolutely value your agency and immersion in what you want to be into.

Growing up Spider-Man was my favorite hero. Tons of toys, comics, etc.

Enjoyed the first SP game, and even the updated version with new visual models.

And yet I'd suck Hodd Towards dick for some starfield and could give 2 fucks less about playing Spider-Man 2. Will catch that shit on the mad cheap or an updated PC version down the line.

None, I'm way more hyped for......

I'm excited for that game as well but I need proper release date. ACVI in other hand is almost here so my hype for that game is through the roof.

Starfield because Bethesda has made some of my favorite games of all time, and judging by preview info Starfield seems like it's in a different and better league than SM.

Also, didn't like Spider Man 1 (bought the PC version), it only made me miss Batman for some reason.

I have no hype for Starfield after that presentation. All you're going to be doing is walking around empty planets and mining for minerals. Then raid a few space pirate camps.

Spider-Man 2 is more of a known quantity to me. I know it's going to be great and provide an awesome AAA super hero masterpiece. So I guess I'm more hyped for that.

Starfield has the POTENTIAL to impress me more with the size/scope, but it really depends on a lot of factors: 1) is the core gameplay and material/crafting/weapon/armor loot good? 2) Is the single play story and narrative actually good as well? These are two big question marks for me, because the story we've seen thus far looks incredibly pedestrian and outdated.

As cool as superheroes are, there is only so much you can do with it before it becomes repetitive.

Starfield has the possibility (however minute) of being the game of the century.

Spider-Man has the possibility of being a game of the month and forgotten about in a few years. It has no possibility of being anything more than a fling, albeit an enjoyable one.

It's not even remotely close.

Starfield for sure, not into superhero comic, especially after Marvel fatigue way too many films and content about them.
Starfield is a space exploration game by Bethesda, we dont get many of those, so definitely that.

30 million + sellers and evergreen titles like Spider-Man sure do fit your description of games being forgotten about in a month.

Ummm. Not.

Starfield. Nothing against Spider-Man I'm sure it will be great and exactly what most people want but I'm just over superhero games at this point. I did enjoy the first game but my head is just sort of in a different place now.
That's not to say I won't ever enjoy these type of superhero games again though.

I mean, we all know Starfield is Bethesda's next big game, but it's also not Fallout or Elder Scrolls. It's a new IP, so even though we all kind of do know what to expect from it, we also kind of don't know either. That's pretty exciting to me.

i think in terms of sales, spiderman will probably sell more. But games like spiderman are more akin to marvel summer blockbusters. popcorn fluff. people will remember TLOU, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Witcher 3, GTAV, and Starfield far longer than spiderman 2 which will set the charts on fire and might even chart for 5-10 months, but wont have that cultural (Gaming) impact something like Starfield will.

Of course, there is a chance it might fizzle out like fallout 4, but if its anythign like skyrim, people will still be playing it ten years from now.

People talk about graphics a lot in Spiderman 2, but I think its biggest issue is how familiar it feels to Spiderman 1 and Miles. How unambitious it feels. Same city. No real gameplay improvements. Same combat. Same setpieces. It feels so ordinary compared to games like FF16, Zelda ToTK and Starfield. They are treating this like Miles in that its just another story instead of like TLOU2 or Uncharted 4 where it feels like a monumental leap forward in both graphics and gameplay.

I remember ND blowing everyone away with that gameplay demo at PSX that showed a huge combat level with lots of new moves and enemy AI improvements. Then six months later blew everyone away again with the best setpiece in franchise history taking full advantage of the PS4. Spiderman 2 just feels more of the same while Starfield looks like (Skyrim + Fallout + Mass Effect)*2. It's basically going to be a CoD vs a big Sony exclusive situation where COD outsells every PS4 exclusive that won GOTY but no one really talks about today. CoD Ghosts vs TLOU. Advanced Warfare vs Uncharted 4. World War 2 vs GOW 2018. MW 2019 vs Death Stranding. TLOU2 vs Black Ops Cold War. No one remembers those games, but we still talk about those PS gotys.

I don't really include most Bethesda titles into some deep game. They haven't had a following like that since Skyrim. Maybe Starfield is that game. But it looks just as "forgettable" as any other AAA game these days. I'll play it for the single player, probably be disappointed by many of the superficial systems present in the game, then move on. It will have a lot of "stuff" to do, but I am very skeptical it will be deep or meaningful enough for many people to stick around. Some will. But I never got that sense from any of their previous games honestly

I will have to say Spider-Man 2. I plan on giving Starfield a try... given all the hype. I haven't been that much of a fan of Bethesda's own games (never played Elder, Fallout or any of the other ones they may have made themselves that I don't know the name of).

SpiderMan 2 as much as I've shifted on its graphics

It's a 3rd person story driven action game with simple and good combat. Exactly my type of game these days

Those long ass never ending 709 hour games have all but lost me

Starfield. While I expect a buggy mess, I also expect it to be engaging and look forward to Fallout in Space. Sucker for Bugetheda Fallout games. (except for 76 at launch)
Spiderman 2... well, it won't be on PC day 1, so there is that.

Not hyped for either. I'll try Starfield on PC (Game Pass) and probably wait for a PC release of Spider-Man 2, if anything.

I'm hyped to play Spider-Man 2 and also hyped for the fallout when Starfield isn't actually as good as people have told themselves it would be.

I love RPGs and Sci-fi, but l have no interest whatsoever in Marvell. The choice couldn't be easier for me.

Definitely Starfield.

Spiderman is a known quantity. We know what to expect really. New exciting IP anyday will trump sequels.

In terms of sales, Full grownup forum users are really underestimating a lot of 8-12 years old kids going into their favourite videogame store asking when is the new Spider-Man coming.

But on a lot of forums, is obvious that Starfield will have more hype.

Starfield is going to still be played by tens of thousands of people on a regular basis in 2033, assuming we don't nuke ourselves to the stone age in that time.

Hell I still give Oblivion a spin at least once a year.
Yeah, I have all Bethesda games installed starting with Daggerfall, all modded up, lol.

Starfield to be ported to XSX 3 in 12 years, I can see it.

I already have starfield downloaded on pc gamepass!

and realise it is some small useless marker junk, will still need to hammer their servers next month.

gamepass only suck! you cannot play on day-day1.

I'm going to get both, because both games represent a different genre and style that I like. I'm an adult and will enjoy both of them equally.
