ARMORED CORE VI: FIRES OF RUBICON |OT| Souls in the Shell

Thanks for providing this. That sucks that there's no save prior to the boss. Hopefully I can manage when I get a chance to play this at some point.
There is a Checkpoint before the boss room, but only until you are in the mission. When you go out to buy other parts, for example, the checkpoint is gone.

Some Photo Mode goodness, this game is real pretty, explosions ftw

I'm stuck on the mission in Chapter 1 with the ninja mechs that go invisable, the room it put's you in after you drop down the pit, I just can't kill everything quick enough before I get decimated by the mech with the whip

Anybody got any tips?

Just assault boost toward them. You don’t even have to visually see them. They appear as red dots on the ui at the bottom of the screen. You will naturally lock on as soon as you close into them. Maybe equip a melee weapon to stagger them instantly.

So a pre-order I had got screwed up and I had to get Armored Core VI later than I wanted to. I missed out on some early parts (those can be unlocked later, no big deal), but there was an exclusive decal I'm slightly bummed about not getting.

What does the pre-order exclusive decal look like? I would like to think it's not all that special.

Fuck Balteus, wew. Took me a little while but I finally got him (Bazooka/Pulse Blade/Missiles, and boosting like a madman).

Someone I know (who's only played Souls stuff) tried the game out and kept dying to the tutorial boss lmao.

That tutorial boss is the hardest guy aside from balteus. I melted everyone after these 2

The ease of use of the photo mode is great in this game. I wish this to be the industry standard. No loading times or anything. It just works!

The focus isn't all that good and some neat filters would be appreciated. I also don't like how the motion blur applies. Far from the best. GT7 is still the golden standard.

But overall i'm very happy that we have one to frame the shots better. In that sense, yes, every game should feature this at least to the extent we have here.

Did Elden Ring had a photo mode?

True, there could be more options.

I think they added photo mode to Elden Ring in an update.

I was good, I can’t get good again because reflexes simply get worse as you get older...plus I smoke a lot of weed for medicinal purposes. But that’s irrelevant for this game as people have told me, as your build matters more.

You don't sound much different than me brother lol. I smoke a shit ton of weed, but the weird thing as I get older I have been appreciating more difficult games.

Beat Ibis on my 2nd try today. Knew I had it, was just too tired yesterday and kept forcing it.

I don't like shotgun play since it's not my playstyle, but close-range definitely fit given the window of opportunities you had. Another excellent fight though.

Did the Chapter 2 end boss last night and I kept getting it down low until it decided to spin attack me with its arms.

I decided I had enough and went full tank with two songbirds for shoulders, a detonating bazooka in my left, and a gatling for my right. Took 3 tries, to get used to the AC after that but the boss was basically permanently staggered. 😂

Finished Liberator Route. Very exciting Final Chapter- anything for Ayre & Rusty. Final Boss wasn't difficulty physically, but definitely emotionally.

Whichever journalist said that one route of the story is only 15-20 hours is on crack. Maybe they're a more efficient player than me though.

Onto NG+ later!

Had to rush that shit down with my melee build, it took me forever to figure out what kept me the safest and to consistently dodge that damn bazooka. The fireswipe would kill me in one hit
yeah getting in close so he would wiff the fire swipes was the only solution I could find... and it took me 3 days to beat him :messenger_confounded:

Edit: Danjin44 Danjin44 oh and yeah, tank legs of course

Anybody think they need to add even more options for a sequel or dlc expansion?

I’ve seen people mention right handed melee, right handed shield, sniper weapons, gun arms, inside parts, radar, extension/shoulder parts and even more body part combinations such as light tank threads.

NG++ is so good, many new missions that are alternative takes on the ones from NG but then, you guessed it - much much harder. Defending the Strider was insane and really made me look into my stats and tweak the build just to barely make it, the tank is way too slow to brute force cheese it. Git gud or you're out. And to think the game asks you to S rank this stuff?? I'm sure I'll try.

Melee only build option would be cool, but they'd need to make adjustments so the Stagger isn't so constant. Same with the Zimmerman needing nerfs in that department or at least a proper drop-off if you dual wield, damage is fine. I would love more long-range options because I feel that's lacking so my FCS sticks to medium/close.

That's what I like to hear. It doesn't matter how long it takes, I'll find a way. (when I get there, NG+ first)

Finally got my new TV delivered and set up. Which means I was able to start into AC6 after putting it off waiting for the TV. I have to say 4K, 120fps, VRR, HDR on my 3090 is pretty fucking goddamned amazing. The game looks and runs great on my machine. Thumbs up to From for finally making a great PC version of their game.

So far all I've done is the tutorial mission and a couple of Chapter 1 missions afterwards. I'm looking forward to getting my ass handed to me by the Chapter 1 boss whenever that happens.

On chapter 4 now. Pretty smooth sailing. Rokumonsen was the biggest challenge of chapter 3, fun fight and have to be efficient for the prior engagement or you’ll be at a major disadvantage.

PS2 era gaming in all the best ways.

Exactly what I was talking about in my post a couple of days ago, moment of the year:

Currently at the end of Ch.4, this boss is a real piece of work lol, took a break yesterday to continue my Blasphemous 2 playthrough, will take a crack at it again tonight.

Really love the laser lance though I still often go back to the iron spike, it's tricky to connect it but the dmg is top tier and the sense of impact is fantastic, wish FROM would patch this to add haptics to all the weapons, would make what is already a masterpiece even better.

Beat NG++ just in time for Starfield. Maybe I'll come back to it every once in a while to try and S rank every mission. But.. after beating it 3 times. I'm good to put it down until DLC.

Dunno if everybody else noticed this but I saw it in a youtube vid.

Apparently, lock on assist decreases your accuracy by around 20% and possibly even more if you're moving as well.

While I don't know if I can use manual aiming for controllers but I will definitely play and practice a lot more with normal lock on. Will probably save my right stick from stick drift as well. My left one is already crying from too much assault boost and kicking.

Much more going by Vaati's latest video. Seems more suited for insanely fast enemies are single shot weapons.

Real talk i preferred the “good ending.” More epic moments IMO and a more satisfying final boss.
Yep. Felt like I was hero in a movie with the music of those missions and content of the briefing.

Anyone have a part list? I checked my own with this

It seems I have everything but the trophy won’t unlock. I already have the trophy for the weapons but the frame parts one isn’t popping up for me. I’m struggling to know if I missed something.

Edit: Got it. For anyone with the same problem as me, sell all your Melander frame parts and buy it again. It’s something to do with them being a preorder bonus. Finally got the trophy to pop up.

Which intern designed the level with all the invisible mechs? Glue invisible enemies to the wall? Shovelware bad in an otherwise good game.

you can use scan to find their locations and I use Quadlegs to go higher place and hover to take them out.
