A few more notes on Party Mode, this time about Hedlok:
-So there are a few differences between this Hedlok and his single-player version.
1) He controls a random character (and takes on their abilities) instead of it always being Max Brass.
2) He looks like he can control each arm independently instead of always throwing out three at once. He can hit anyone within a 180-degree angle in front of him, so flanking him is a necessity.
3) Hedlok at level 5 and above can no longer get knocked down outside of throws and Rush Attacks, even if you hit him with wind or fire punches. Level 4 can still get knocked down like that, though.
4) His ARMS can change after you select yours. Don't get fooled by what he initially has equipped!
5) And obviously, he has a lot more HP.
-So let's move onto strategies for how to deal with him!
1) Don't attack him from the front. Even if you have a heavy ARM that can stop his punches, it is too much of a risk. If he is focused on you, either outmaneuver him or block to let your teammates get behind him and land their own punches.
2) Fire and wind ARMS are great for Hedlok Lv. 4, but are useless for levels after that. Overall, the best attributes to use against Hedlok are electric and ice since they still do immobilize him (he's still free to attack, though). Don't use explosion ARMS since it is very easy for Hedlok to land glancing blows against you and blow them up.
3) If multiple people have Rush Attacks, just let your teammates go first and take turns using them. Don't waste a single one!
4) Speaking of which, if your teammates' Rush Attacks keep the opponent standing up until the final hit, throw out a ground grab just before their final attack to get some extra damage that does more than what their final attack would do. This is great in doubles, too!
5) If a health or Rush power-up comes into the battle, just go into the circle and block. The worst that Hedlok can do is grab, which can be interrupted by your teammates (if they know they can do that).
