I'm surprised by this. Arnold always said he wanted to marry someone with high social status. The Kennedy family is a good choice.

Also, they've been dating for 8 years, so they've been together for far more than 25 years. Crazy.

So... Schwarzenegger fathered a child with longtime member of household staff

Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife, Maria Shriver, separated after she learned he had fathered a child more than a decade ago — before his first run for office — with a longtime member of their household staff.

Shriver moved out of the family's Brentwood mansion earlier this year, after Schwarzenegger acknowledged the paternity. The staff member worked for the family for 20 years, retiring in January.

Not only that, but the staffer was still working there until recently and the staffer was claiming the kid was her husband until recently. Drop the bomb

Actually, in the position he was in; woman married to someone else, new kid on the way, his kids, etc. I think it was right he kept his mouth shut. Usually confessors unburden themselves because of a bad conscience and leave a train wreak behind.

Sometimes the most honourable thing is to keep that stuff to yourself; although not sleeping with her would have best.

You say confessions cause train wrecks, and I know they're usually traumatic for all concerned, but I believe that people have a right to not waste their time and emotions on liars and douchebags.

Steroids are the easy answer, but I think if you followed a perfectly mathematically balanced diet, exercise routine and sleep cycle for 10 years, you could achieve that.

Bodybuilding involves a lot of thinking and planning, really.

You know shades of grays, things aren't so black or white, in a perfect world people would be honest and forgiveness would be easy.

But when there are two families involved, with kids on both sides, to confess over what may have been a casual fling is douchey IMO. Usually it the selfish urge of the confessor to unburden themselves that motivates them.

I'm not defending Arnie on this, but the situation is not so clear cut.
