Another thing....check out the shot after Tobias says "I can just taste those meaty leading man parts in my mouth.". You can see Gob/Will Arnett trying not to laugh. :D :lol

He looks like he's trying so hard not to laugh. :lol

sorry if I don't put stock in the article.. this is just guessing at best. we know the nielsens but until we here even rumor circulating I am not going to worry that we won't get a full season.

as for this episode, I found the two signs that are by Mary Poppuns:

The sign by the flight of the Mary Poppuns reads: “Caution: Please stay off my landing port... I’m not the tourist killing sort... But if you have a working girl to kill, please let her stay while I do my will.”

According to the sign in the background, “Ms. Poppuns is an original creation of Wee Britain and is in no way meant to invoke the character of the popular novel, musical or stage show ‘Mary Poppins’. Our Ms. Poppuns has neither the trade-markable qualities of being a nanny nor the power of flight, but instead is a cleaning woman who transports herself with the aid of a guide wire and a sturdy cane as she fights the likes of Jack the Ripper every weekday at quarter past and half after every odd Greenwich mean hour.”

Michael kept referring to Jack the Ripper so she took him down, took him downtown. :lol

That's another reason why I love the show. The littlest details.

:lol :lol I thought I squeezed out every detail out of those signs. Crazy amounts of work go into each scene.

Let's move to Portland, Ore., -- it was the No. 1-ranked market for "Arrested Development."

Nice to see my AD evangelizing efforts paying off :lol

I just hope they at least finish this season out...
yeah, we're the good city.

What was that episode where George Micheal was walking with his head down and you could see snoopy laying on his red dog house in the background.

Well I went out and rented the first two discs of season 1 last night, and by fucking God.....this show is hilarious. Not quite up there with the last comedy series I rented (The Office), but still a fantastic show.

The fourth episode of the second season, entitled "Good Grief!"

Disc 2 of Season one has some of the best episodes.

Lessons... Lessons... oh god the lessons.

we need the title of this thread modified to include:

"We're not here to talk nonsense to Bob Loblaw"

After the emotional rollercoster of whether or not AD would be coming back this year, I don't think I could take it being pulled off the air before the season's end. :(

Fingers crossed...

Jebus, I won't be able to sleep.

I don't have cable and am forced to 'get' my shows after they air (if you catch my drift), so I don't get to see the Fox previews for the next weeks episode.

I take it Bob Loblaw is funny because it sounds like Blah Blah Blah? Am I right here?

Sorry, I guess I should have said...

I don't have TV...

I have a TV for games and DVD's, and I have an antenna but it picks up barely anything...and what it does pick up is unwatchable.

Get an antena from Radio Shack, the one's you have to plug in. They cost like 15 bucks.

all of fox's actions echo another one of thier best series that was cancelled prematurely..... Futurama. Moved around to other days, not promoting the day change... being pre-empted by sports... not showing episodes for months at a time... though AD is actually being shown more than Futurama did in its final "McSeason" and it has a hell of a lot more actual promo ads than Futurama ever did.

Yeah. It's utter bullshit. Fuck the Neilson ratings.....these great shows that Fox has canceled obviously have a large, devoted following, far more devoted than these crappy McSeries they keep pumping out will ever have. And if they're not "popular" enough in the eyes of Fox execs, then something they're doing is horribly wrong. Their promotion for and treatment of their best shows always seems to be pretty shitty, that's for sure. I can't imagine Neilson ratings accurately reflect how many people watch these showsl. Maybe a new system of gathering ratings needs to be put in place. I don't think I've ever known one person with a Neilson box.

*raises hand*

Not a box, but a week long diary/logbook. Since Fox pulled AD early last season, I didn't get to show my support on the log, but I did make a point of putting it in the comments section.

...where is Prison Break? I mean, it has to be there somewhere, doesn't it? Bones moving to House's slot makes some sense...but the lack of Prison Break makes me think something is off unless Fox plans on putting it on hold and then running it into Summer after Idol is done.

They should at least put it back in place of War at Home.

This is Fox's crazy 12-Month schedule...but it is missing its greatest success. There will be some major shuffling, this is no terrible sign.

well, that is some relief. no way fox is even doing a half season hiatus of one of the most watched new dramas this season.

I thought Prison Break was only running until January and then 24 takes over. No?

You'd think so, but it isn't airing at all through October, more or less, and it got a 22-Episode order so it has to go into the Spring.

Is War at home doing bad? Please tell me it is.
eh.. it's doing the same numbers as the rest of sunday night. I was more referring to the show just being one of the worst shows I've ever watched.

As for all this talk about numbers, Malcolm premeired with even less, 3.7 million viewers.

Fox already cancelled head cases. They dont have that many backups.

Im calling bs on that article.

Incidently, I like war at home. Completely different humor than AD, but funny. Very titus.

That's a different situation, though; MitM is in syndication, which makes new seasons more sensible from a financial standpoint (which is why many of us were hoping for AD to at least crawl to four full seasons). It's also nearing the end of its run, and it makes sense that its numbers would be winding down, whereas AD is a newer show, yet is showing a decline rather than building a fan base. IIRC, MitM also costs less to produce.

speaking of, has anyone watched Malcom in the Middle lately? The kid that plays Malcom looks fucking creepy now, and he sounds like Kermit the Frog. Puberty has been very unkind to him.

That show really should have ended about 2 years ago. The kid really has outgrown the role he is supposed to be playing.

Oh GOD, war at home. I tried watching it and couldn't stop cringing. The dad wanting his daughter to stay together with her BF so he can get into the golf club? *barf*

If FOX does cancel the series, I hope they have the decency to at least finish its season instead of axing it like Firefly. That was painful.

I just hope if this is indeed the last season, they wrap everything up nicely. I really wouldn't want a cliffhanger at the end of the season that will never be resolved.

As I said in the other thread, make sure you buy the DVDs if you haven't already done so. Solid DVD sales is pretty much the only thing that could keep the show going at this point (with the shit ratings it's getting I doubt even stellar DVD sales would make much of a difference to Fox, but it's worth a shot).

Frankie Muniz is almost 20...weird.

Also, if they cancel the show, they have to let them finish the story.

They finished it so beautifully last season (when we assumed it was over), so they have to let them write themselves out of it again. It's the least they can do...even if it is premature.
