Having Slade become a villain because he's a beta who didn't get the girl in a love triangle is the dumbest, laziest shit ever and will straight up ruin his character. I guess that's OK though because it's on the CW, or something...

I doubt that will be the reason. He's seen them become intimate a few times now and doesn't seem to care aside from the occasional Ollie jab. But man if I was trapped on an island for a year with a hot chick and a frat dude I think I'd get a little jealous when those two start banging right in front of me. Makes sense to show his slight frustration and as long as it doesn't go far beyond that, I'm cool with it.
Wonder how the hell Ollie is going to get out of that cliffhanger, Black Canary maybe...?

Yeah, I'll be fine with it if it just stays as frustration/annoyance.
- So happy they didn't drag out Roy meeting GA. Lesser comic shows would have dangled that carrot for half a season. Him becoming an informant is a good start on the road to sidekick.
- Dig's romantic subplot was the worst of the bunch, so I'm glad it's over for now.
- I dig Brother Blood.
- I doubt Shado will be Slade's sole motivation for turning against Ollie. And even so, Slade has already been shown not to exactly be on Ollie's side outside of convenience.
- Bratty Felicity is Meh Felicity. That said, dat dress...

Geez..dude...just tell her "The duel with Malcolm wasn't meaningless because I was fucking trying to stop the earthquake and Tommy died because your dumb ass couldn't listen to stay away from the Glades and you just HAD to get your damn documents".
Also...I really hope he kills somebody soon. It;s like we can't have everything great. They make Roy good (a huge feat), but they just had to turn vigilante into weak Batman.

I'm not as bothered by Ollie not killing as some are. I liked that he did in the first season but I'm okay with him not killing. Though I do want him to maim more and less trick arrows.
Roy continues to be an improvement.
It's a bit hard to believe that these FEMA trucks were continually jacked and the drivers killed but there was no police escort of any kind.
I wonder how Ollie is going to get out of that mess in the end. He just needs to stay the fuck away from Laurel, especially when he's the Arrow.

Btw how many times does a FEMA truck has to be robbed and its drivers murdered in order for the government to put some serious firepower to protect it? There's only one way out of this predicament for Ollie: Chainsaw Arrow which circles the floor around him, cutting his way to freedom from the cops!!
Half decent, half good episode. I liked what we got from Diggle, Felicity, Roy (!), Laurel (!!), and Ollie himself. Everything else was just okay or a bit weak. The criminally-underdefended FEMA trucks were a little bothersome, and the villains didn't get much of anything interesting to do. I'm not hating on the No-Kill Policy yet, but if the people Ollie lets get arrested start escaping from prison, I hope he starts questioning that path.

Yeah I agree with some others, I don't mind the try not to kill--it makes sense to me now I guess. Just hope not every episode is filled with tazor, smoke, or rope arrows and he actually hits people in the leg/arms.

My thoughts:
- If there's gonna be a Shado/Slade/Ollie love triangle, I will rage. I don't need that shit.
- Mystery of the Island and the weird mutated corpses is super-intriguing and very creepy. And we get the origin of the old arrowhead. Now this is intriguing.
- Bronze Tiger was too underutilized. Wanna see more of White down the line.
- GOTDAMN, FELICITY. Thea was also looking quite ravishing.
- Villain Laurel is amusing me. She's just so hilariously mad. And she just runs around with the cops. And had an entire SWAT Team waiting around for the off chance that Arrow shows up again?
- Sebastian Blood is a good nemesis. I wonder if he'll turn out to be dirty and power hungry or whether they'll keep him as a heroic antagonist to Oliver. Alejandro plays him well. And interesting character.
- Roy's development continues to be good. He was annoying last season, but this season he's actually... good. Real good.
- The Digg/Felicity/Ollie dynamic continues to be great. Another Felicity Freudian Moment!

Colton Haynes is very lean. I think he dresses fine, he just looks "small" compared to Stephen and David, who are quite beefy.

very awkward framing of the fight scenes this episode. also some generic choreography. when u have stephen amell vs. Michael Jai White, it should be much more interesting to watch.

The episode had some real nice moments and then along came Laural. I kept thinking back to season 1 trying to figure out why she was so against GA, however even I couldn't come up with an excuse worse than what the writers did....I mean seriously? I could understand if GA had mistakenly killed Tommy while trying to stop Malcolm...but this!!!!
I hope Black Canary kicks her ass.
However, I am really enjoying the growth in Roy's character. As others have said I am glad they didn't keep teasing the meeting between GA and Roy.
Brother Blood was awesome as well. I noticed some hints of him wanting to take advantage of the situation to gain power. Hopefully, he keeps preaching and building his followers.
Also, I don't see Slade being Deathstroke. I think it is just a red-herring but if he does go against Oli then hopefully it is not only because of jealousy.

Not protecting the trucks after the first heist was such poor writing. I honestly want to know of the writers don't notice that detail or they are just strapped for time and don't care.
As always this show is with many flaws but we accept that and look at the good. And this episode had a lot of good!

Yes she did. Girlfriend looked a bit puffy around the end of S1, it was pretty noticeable. Almost looked as she was retaining water; not *fat* (otherwise she would have died in the Glades along the rest of the uggos) but certainly a bit rounder. Makeup and hairstyle is also different.
