That would be the correct solution, especially since they know the game is being sold readily on a PC storefront that's accessible in *WAY* more countries than their own PSN servers are natively.

Sony's move here is the answer to a question literally no one asked.

It is really mind boggling how badly they fucked this up. It’s completely insane that they had a well received title (despite some technical issue), happy community, expanding sales… and completely fumbled it for no good reason.

And there is no win here. Sony either caves and still will gain distrust for their next titles or it keeps going and well they can look forward to keep getting dunked over with each release.

Sony wants your data. There is literally no technical reason for Sony to make PSN login mandatory. It's just plain stupid and taking advantage of people.

Right. I don't think people realize how valuable our data is worth to these companies. It's ultimately just another small battle for control that we're in the process of losing to these corporations.

Look at how more and more games are being pushed as Online Only, even when it hurts us as players due to network issues affecting the experience. As gamers we should fight to not be forced into doing things like this. It should be fucking optional.

That's the thing, it was there at launch. If Arrowhead had left it as it was people would be complaining that they are having errors trying to link the PSN account (which is why they disabled it and had the skip thing).

I mean, I personally already have both PC and PS5 so for me it's not a big deal, but I still think it's retarded.
