Assassin's Creed Shadows appears on the PEGI website for Switch 2

None of these games are what Switch is for, imo. Give me the first party games and the third parties that make game specifically for Switch. Cyberpunk and Assassin's Creed? Nah.
what about peoples who wanna play portible??

Thats a strange take on 3rd party for the Switch 2, why shouldn't there be a GTA VI or Cyberpunk?
I don't entirely get it :messenger_grinning_sweat:

I probably could have been clearer, but I meant it the same way you did that I have better options to play those games. Not that there "shouldn't be" ports of them. I meant what Switch is for.....for me.

I'm predicting a decent port, with a frame rate that will mostly stick to 30fps, but with dips into the mid-20s in very rare places. Textures will be good, but the resolution will be softer than one would like.

Jesus Christ, go away.

This is how it's going to be every time a Switch 2 logo appears on anything? You don't know how these games are going to look, how they are going to perform.

How about you confirm that you aren't getting broccoli before you shit up these forums about the "steak" dinners that you have lined up.

Now this is a special snowflake. Disgusting.

We know nothing about the game yet. Better hold judgement.

I don't think I've played any on my ps5. Last 30fps game I played was when I booted up GTA IV on my PS3.
I just finished the Valhalla expansion for God of War on my PS4 and I felt that was a fantastic experience, not pathetic at all. The same with other games like Hogwarts Legacy or Horizon Forbidden West.

I mean, you have consoles and iirc a PC. You're not the target audience outside of Nintendo exclusive games

But imagine general public walking to a Switch 2 demo station and they see these games running on a tiny handheld. They really don't care for internal resolutions or shader quality from low-medium to high unless you start to make a comparison side by side.

These games will sell well.

They will at launch, but I think longer term Nintendo first party is going to dominate just like they did with Switch 1.

On Switch 1 it was the opposite. First party was most dominant in 2017 (as a proportion of total software) and then as third party support improved the first party dominance went down.

Switch 2 is pretty much going to get everything. "Hardware" is not going to be the kind of limiter it historically has been (since Wii) for a Nintendo console this time around.

Ok, but first party dominates the Switchb best sellers every single year from what I've seen.

Nintendo exclusives will be the biggest games on the system, but the top sellers don't represent the whole ecoystem. This graph should help explain.

Increasing third party support decreased Nintnedo's dominance, but still enabled high sales for both first parties and third party. And these numbers don't include indie / digital only games.

Basically you can have third party games that sell very well, even if they don't hit 20 million on a single platform like Nintendo ones can.

It will be the same with Switch 2, both third party and first party will sell well.

Son, you got a bout of NDS -- Nintendo Derangement Syndrome.

It runs at 30fps on the Steam Deck so of course the Switch 2 can do it, but better.

also Assassin's Creed Shadows is far less demanding than the already announced Star Wars Outlaws.

Star Wars has mandatory raytracing, AC doesn't.
so in Star Wars the Switch 2 actually has to run RT GI for the game to even work. that's an extreme workload in an open world game on a low power handheld.

AC Shadows has a rasterised fallback for GI, so no raytracing needed to function. which means it's far easier to port than Star Wars.

Sure. I'm talking about the best seller lists. Not suggesting third parties cannot do well. I'm not sure games like Cyberpunk are going to do as well as others but we will see.

When you say aa well as others, what do you mean by "others"?

Pathetic! At least play it on the PS4 Pro with higher frame rate!

I mean,. we had a rumor about this a while ago, so I'm not really shocked even remotely. Ubisoft has supported Nintendo's launches for generations now, no one should be shocked by this btw.

More tears though as I'm sure many will be upset to see the sales of that game continue. =)

Next up, acting shocked that Call Of Duty didn't flop this year (YoutubeShockAngryFaceDefault)

According to sources close to Ubisoft, the company plans to release the following games for the Switch 2:

Assassin's Creed Mirage

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Assassin's Creed Odyssey

Assassin's Creed Origins

Assassin's Creed Shadows (the newest addition to the series)

150+ milliseconds of input lag in a game like that is pretty pathetic I'd say. but then again, the whole game is.

the only way to get decent latency in Raganrök is by playing the PS5 version in performance mode at 120hz with an unlocked framerate, where it's about 70ms as it should be. even at 60hz with a 60fps lock it's way too high at around 100ms

It's not something that affected me at all. I put many hours into the game and didn't spend a single second thinking about input lag.
