How is it in terms of invisible walls and getting caught on geometry? The latest SE was shocking for it
Went ahead and got it myself. Why notMeh grabbed it…I’ve spent 37 bucks in worse ways.
We both just started I see
I'm quite a few hours past now lol, I took this screenshot 2 days agoWe both just started I see
Oh. Well I’m in and near that area. Bit farther. Not much.I'm quite a few hours past now lol, I took this screenshot 2 days ago
Right now I’m dealing with a rusty shotgun with 1 bullet max that can be inserted. PhewI love how you basically just wander around stumbling on random shit
I'll set out to do something only to find some random clue on the way then go off on an entirely different adventure
Sounds awesome! 50% done with this bullshit patch, hopefully I feel inclined to play by the time it's done. Wish I had realized it was needed, could have triggered it remotely from work!No handholding here.
Game treats you like Elders Scrolls: Morrowind
You get “leads” for quests. Can also “track” them. But far as I see, tracking means nothing.
You need to read. Open the map. Go explore.
I’m doing the early mission of the rats in the cellar. I’m being vague. As not to spoil. But… if you’ve played you probably know.
Anyhow it’s refreshing. Enjoying this game
Downloaded fresh. No patch. I’m guessing I’ve got the new patch? Was a 47gb download.Sounds awesome! 50% done with this bullshit patch, hopefully I feel inclined to play by the time it's done. Wish I had realized it was needed, could have triggered it remotely from work!
Not sure, I preloaded just a couple of days ago, so it must be since then.Downloaded fresh. No patch. I’m guessing I’ve got the new patch? Was a 47gb download.
But that aside. I’m enjoying it. This game clearly is saying “please explore. Listen. Observe. Use your brain. We’re not gonna give you a golden trail to your next path” (fable 2)
It’s a bit unforgiving and you can’t possibly rush in guns blazing. Doesn’t exist.
Playing on Steam deck btw.Not sure, I preloaded just a couple of days ago, so it must be since then.
Yeah that's like almost 10 times my speed. LolPlaying on Steam deck btw.
Yeah. Didn’t preload. Impulse $37 buy on CDkeys
Have a decent internet connection that gets me maybe 400mbps download speed on Steam
I’m also wondering if there’s a new patch, maybe I’ll restart it and check
Game can be brutal. I’m in an area with a certain mob that one shot kills me
And theres a bunch of them
Am I wrong In thinking tracking “leads” matters none? Other than a reminder of what you’re doing. But as far as “location”. They give us none eh?I’m also wondering if there’s a new patch, maybe I’ll restart it and check

Yeah. Sucks I imagine to have such a speed. Guess I’m in a good area and have been spoiled for many years. I never Blink an eye at 100gb downloads. I do For storage sake. But not “time”.Yeah that's like almost 10 times my speed. Lol
This is still a huge upgrade for me - it's already 10x from my old speed. So yours is about 133x my old speed.Yeah. Sucks I imagine to have such a speed. Guess I’m in a good area and have been spoiled for many years. I never Blink an eye at 100gb downloads. I do For storage sake. But not “time”.

I am tracking a lead trying to find a certain women from a note in a churchit doesn't
it's useful to track them if they have coordinates in them, because when you open the map it will display the lead's coordinates over the map, so you don't have to write them down
they're basically just a reminder as far as I can tell
what is most effective is reading the lead, then trying to figure out where the heck it wants you to go. once you figure that out, I place a compass marker on the map and just go after that
Slowest I ever recall, dialup aside, was 3mbps rated speed. That was in 2002. lolThis is still a huge upgrade for me - it's already 10x from my old speed. So yours is about 133x my old speed.![]()
some leads give the vaguest hint whatsoever. I know I mention coordinates above, but leads that give you the actual coordinates seem very rareI am tracking a lead trying to find a certain women from a note in a church
But the note doesn’t tell me where she might be lol
Modern games must have warped my brain bc I feel Dumb. But I’m having fun
You know my early game lead? Lolsome leads give the vaguest hint whatsoever. I know I mention coordinates above, but leads that give you the actual coordinates seem very rare
what's wild is I don't think I've even seen a church yet. I have no idea what you are talking about lolYou know my early game lead? Lolhelp a brother out.
It’s related to the pastor of said church
We in uncharted territory here. I’m enjoying it though. No real complaints. Guess it’s back to old school gaming hereno fast travel is crazy in this game
I've already found some locations I know I'll have to backtrack to which are probably a 20 minute walk assuming I don't run into enemies
I don't mind because the world is very packed with shit to see and do, but it makes you pretty intentional with how you plan out what you want to get done.
at least I'm not super worried about missing stuff since I know I'll likely visit the spot again

You would know if you’ve been in a church. Something very bad (a murder) went on in it. I stumbled Upon it.no fast travel is crazy in this game

I’m pleased with my hour and half so far. It’s very Morrowind (as in ZERO help)Reading the different feedback in here it does sound like it might be worthy of my time and money. Putting it on my wishlist as I'm deep in the claws of Pathfinder atm.
Thanks for the impressions gaf'ers.
0 idea if I can “rest or sleep” or “store” itemsInventory management becomes a real thing
They have a shared stash, but the ones I’ve found so far are at fucking random inconvenient locations lol I’ve only found two shared stashes
I really wanted to bank some of my items for about an hour, and I haven’t seen a single stash
Not seen a ghoul. Not had a pistol. But have ya made it to the “town” ran by the protocol patrols??Only managed to play 40 minutes, but I love how the seeming tutorial is like 2 seconds long. Dialogue, movement, and combat feels a little stiff so far, but nothing I can't look over for the time being. Parkour feels rough coming off of Avowed, but excited to dive deeper into this sometime tomorrow hopefully! So far, acquired miscellaneous melee weapons, rusty rifle and shotgun. Died a few times to some ghoul before I opted to switch to the pistol, felt like I could barely move trying to melee fight the thing!
I've been laughing at this for a minute. So you were told you had to investigate a bakery so you walked in, destroyed the place, killed the owner, then had some of their cake?Just went into a local bakery and wrecked it. Killed the owner and ate some cake. Which I was Told to investigate a bakery. No directions. Just told I need To. So. Wondered into town and had to find it.
Love that
training stimulants which you find laying around the worldI have upgraded several skills but I missed how I get these points to spend. There’s no leveling or exp. Is it simply completing missions or killing things?
Ah I though that was just a collectable like the comic books. The comic books can be opened and read with a page or 2 of story and pics.training stimulants which you find laying around the world
