If my thread offends you ya need to get out more often.
Finished season 4. Have mixed feelings about it. Don't get me wrong, I think it may be the best season yet (haven't seen season 5, have to wait till February... *grrr*), but there are some things I would have changed about it.
I really think it was a little too ambitious for its own good. So many things happened... the plot kept changing focus so dramatically throughout the season. There were a couple of ideas in there they could have dedicated entire seasons to. The moment something starts getting cool, *BAM*, that's gone, and now there's something new happening. Each new thing that happens is dependant on the last thing, yeah, so it does actually make sense. But still, it was a little disorienting.
Jasmine was kinda the last straw with that. It was a great 5 or so episode run (with some of the creepiest moments I've seen on television), but it would have worked better if the transition wasn't so jarring. I do get that the huge change of pace was intentional, but I guess it just wasn't what I was expecting.
Cordy is now in a coma. Connor is living with a normal family and a different set of memories. And AI headquarters is W&H. Weird. I wonder how the Cordy and Connor thing is going to work out it season 5.
I started watching season 2 again. Man, I miss when the characters had a touch of goofiness to them. All of them are too serious now. They're a broody bunch and that needs to change!
Season 1 => too goofy
Season 2 => perfect mix of the serious and goofy
Season 3 => very minor goofy, lots o' drama
Season 4 => entirely drama
Is season 4 generally considered to be the best one? Despite my complaints, it is very awesome. I'm going to have trouble deciding between 2 and 4, and I'll have to watch 4 again before really making a call either way.
