Ok, sorry, I don't have a link, but I was reading our local paper (adn no, not a tabloid, but still reasonably crappy - we don't have that much choice around here), and the headline for a small article read:

Flippin' heck - Katrina unleashes the dolphins of war.

It must be one of the funniest things I've read. It was something about concern that the missing dolphins were specially trained Navy dolphins that carried toxic darts. Ok, so I didn't know the US Navy had special "cetacean training" programs, but it was pretty funny how it was written.

Armed dolphins, trained by the United States military to shoot terroristsand pinpoint spies underwater, may be missing in theGulf of Mexico

" My concern is that they have learned to shoot at divers in wetsuits who have simulated terrorists in exercises"

I swear, every day gets weirder and weirder. Maybe it's my naivety showing, but it sounds like a plot out of a B-grade sci-fi flick - military trained assasin dolphins go rogue after a hurricane breaks them out.

This has happened b4 they trained dolphins to do this stuff then they released them to do it and they swam away :lol Smarties
