It is sad that WWE can not rise above (tee hee) this whole xenophobic story crap and just worry about good matches.

If WWE does, in fact, have John Cena move to Raw permanently after Summerslam, I hope they at least "trade" someone Raw to Smackdown rather than effortlessly making it seem like Raw gets new talent whenever they want while Smackdown gets nothing in return (Jason Jordan was the most recent wrestler to switch rosters).

Even looking at the rosters, not a lot of big faces that WWE could swap with John Cena without affect Smackdown with a lack of faces. Maybe do a bigger trade:

John Cena + Dolph Ziggler
for
Samoa Joe + Goldust

Joe can go face/tweener officially and pick up his feud with Kevin Owens
Goldust is able to interact with Breezango and other weirdos such as English to make for entertaining skits
Cena can feud with Reigns at Mania or whatever they have planned. Braun can be included in that package deal of new feuds.
Ziggler could join Titus Worldwide and tag-team with Apollo Crews for a tag-team run.

Still weird to them just label him as a free agent out of nowhere without any real storyline repercussions. Maybe this means Smackdown will get some call-ups such as The Authors of Pain and Asuka after Summerslam. I wouldn't mind Itami being called up, too, going heel on Smackdown and feuding with Styles, Nakamura, and Zayn.
