August Wrasslin' |OT| Make a.. make a good...uh...a good wrestling thread

Can this thread stop speaking of CM Punk?
Agreed
I'd say I'm glad you could take time out of your busy work schedule hating women to respond to me, but it seems you made this a working break.

No Man's Sky is going to be a love it or hate it game. If you love it, it will be amazing and you'll play it for years, if you hate it you'll find it lacking for something and be disappointed.

I personally love the game. I love the exploration, survival and building aspects of it. I love flying through the universe and finding shit. On my starting planet I found a new ship that was a good upgrade to the starter. I've also found a gold mine that allowed me to upgrade my multi tool at a camp and I've already completed my hyper drive and I'm hunting for warp cell materials.

To me, this game is fucking awesome. If you love the building aspect of Fallout 4 where you're scrounging the wasteland for resources to build your camp, this is similar but on a grander universal scale.

If you're looking for Mass Effect combined with X on a grand scale, this is not it. I think the way the universe is generated it would be impossible to put a mission structure in the game.

I'm loving this, and I'm looking forward to spending a long time with it.

I really hope a new Red Dead is on the way. I'm just about through a second playthrough of Redemption and it's still excellent. I can't remember if I played through Undead Nightmare, but maybe I'll give that a go soon.

UN was okay. Nowhere near as good as RDR, but it was interesting. RDR is a heck of a masterpiece.

What's the complaint exactly? That looks pretty good to me. Guy left his chin open, Punk distracts him by putting his left arm up to keep the guy from blocking his chin and goes for the uppercut. Too textbook for you?

I still think their marketing fucked up by not calling it Read Undead Redemption.

MITB 2011 called and wants me to tell you that you are wrong and will never be right as long as it is a thing that exists.

Is it wrong to make the statement that HD and high framerate cameras have ruined the WWE? WHenever I watch NJPW on AXS it doesn't get to me, but for some reason the production of WWE drives me nuts

and yet I was glued to it for 6 hours straight last night. It really is a love or hate game and one wont know where they fit in until they try it. I'm hurting this morning but all i can think about is getting back to it. Will probably hit my top 3 this year easily. Again, I can understand if it hits others bottom 3.

Does it require any skill?

These days I lack patience.

It ain't BAD. It just is a one-trick pony, a game that appeals to out of shape dads and moms who have a few sedentary hours after work, like the kind that say "I like short games because I can actually finish them" etc - never mind that can compromise the vision of the story.

NMS is fine, but it should have been a lot more, or should have been much cheaper. I'll keep chipping away at it here and there, but the dazzle at the beginning turns out to be a dud.

Absolutely zero, a baby could play this. You can check the OT for more of those types of impressions GURARARARARA

I'm KIDDING. All opinions of art are valid.

Not really. The most you'll have to do is go out and find resources. Some might be harder to get than others, but that all depends on where you are. You can fight things both on land and in space, but that is avoidable if you want to. Survival and resource management are really the only things you have to worry about.

I really think new things will open up as we get closer to center. i could be criminally wrong but i think there will be surprises in store for those that keep pushing forward to the center. at a minimum from a narrative pov.

Depends how quickly they patch content in! If they can speed their patches faster than people can get closer...

I honestly don't think they will though.

You see that bjork? People want Big Sexy back. Too bad the Nashinator would overshadow his geeky sidekick, just like last time.

He looks like he has both toned up and gotten a bit flabby at the same time.

Is that possible?

CM Punk is a miracle athlete and his body works in ways that modern medicine and sports studies cannot understand. Fact.

I watched about two hours of No Man's Sky on a livestream yesterday and that was enough to show that it wasn't the game for me. I certainly admire it for what it's done technically, but I'm so done with survival-mechanics of any kind that I know I could never enjoy it.

WAY too much survival for my tastes, it gets in the way of enjoying it

We're getting some neat camera angles during RAW and SD now.
They just need to get rid of the constant camera switching and useless zooms.

This is the best example you've given of why you don't like it. I wish they could emphasize the survival aspect more than they did. I feel like this is a game people should easily know whether they like it or not before they buy it and as time goes on that will be the case.

literally the only time

and that was more punk cutting an all time great, unscripted promo and wwe not having enough time between that raw and the ppv to fuck everything up

that would come the following month

in ufc, punk is basically this guy:

R9ViDRF.jpg

and they're building him up like this ultimate underdog via a documentary

Ambrose botched that because he had to step over Ziggler. I mean if you wanna be curious do a running jump from one part of your floor to the next. Now try doing that when you have to hop over something in the middle before you make the jump. Just doesn't work out. I'm actually surprised he recovered as well as he did. Same with Wyatt trying to catch him.

As for what's overdone it's suicide dives. It went from an OMG Moment in the games to a standard move. They should rarely be brought out. Superkicks too but less so since wrestlers aren't as risky using them. The DDT used to be seen as often as the suicide dive and superkick. Funny how times have changed.
