August Wrasslin' |OT| Make a.. make a good...uh...a good wrestling thread

If you didn't realise Mick was attractive from his children, I'd be surprised. Guy always had good genes, just smashed his face in enough that it was hard to tell.

His eventual hesitation, and his frustration almost making him leave his friend alone and crumpled over made it work for me. He was being brutal but part of him clearly didn't want to. Great stuff.
I for a second thought he wasn't gong to shake his hand but I'm glad he did, the little things make moments so memorable and that moment there defined the match.
The problem being that one guy sells like crazy and should be dead, while the other had barely anything to sell but.. magical roll up out of nowhere!! It never works for me. It's one of the things that expose the business!!
I mean a roll up is a Damn strong move bro, it & the low blow should be the most protected moves imo but you're having people kick out of a lot of them now. Basically it just says that one little mistake can cost you the whole make. Just like a defensive football game, it gets down to the last 5 seconds and the opposing team forgets to cover they hole and the halfback exposes it as he runs in for the td.

Seriously though, why does Sabre get all the attention instead of Gallagher? Or does Gallagher also get that attention and I've just been missing it?

Attention from who? Sabre is a bigger name around the world.

But like I said, a lot of people who saw Sabre for the first time were unimpressed, and Gallagher was a hit with those same people, it seems.

That's what I mean, around the world. They work a similar style but Gallagher's way more entertaining. This was my first time seeing either guy, and Sabre's the only one I've seen talked about. Seems like it would be the other way around.

Was that just a bad first showing by Sabre?

If you didn't expect anything from Gallagher you probably haven't seen many matches of him (or any).

Dude is talented as fuck

Well this is just me probably but i always hated roll ups and they are not believable for me. Cause you can just see the guy can kick out.. You're probably right this is about not protecting it through the ages but for me, in my personal experience of watching wrestling, it's not possible to be be pinned by the strength of such a move, except if you can really feel the position is super difficult. I know one of the only legit roll ups i saw was strangely from the ever underrated Matt Sydal when he was in WWE! The moves was so complicated with soooo much traction and momentum that you could actually feel the pinned guy couldn't do anything.

I've seen four seconds of Gallagher and he's already the best member of the Vaudevillains by far. I actually enjoy his look unlike the other two.

Yo. This Fabian guy. That's how cruiserweights should look my friends.

You have a link to that move?

Do you have a think about cheap pin moves in general or just a roll up?

How did you feel about Bret's counter to Austin on Survivor Series 96? Or Owen v Bret WM 10
I'm kidding, but yeah, he's amazing, you should check out his qualifying match for the CWC
You find me something and I'll check it out.

Glorious

No, I won't give in
I won't give in

Till Im victorious

And I will defend
I will defend

Then I'll do what I must

No, I won't give in
I won't give in

Oh so glorious

Until the end
Until the end

(repeat ad infinitum)

I'm loving everything about the CWC except the fullsail crowd.

Honestly it would be awesome if they filmed it at a mall or a public festival.

Someplace that didn't have the traditional NXT audience there.

I have not looked up the results yet but I really hope Jack Gallagher wins.

Maybe they already had plans to let somebody like ZSJ or Ibushi the win but that was such an impressive performance IMO.

You know what's great about the CWC? Everyone is dressed ready to compete.

No Ambrose or Roman shit gear.

Also somebody needs to show Ambrose how to tape his fists.

The funny thing is the way they're booking him they're making the exact same mistakes his initial run in Mexico had.
Your know better than me but was Sombras unmasking with his consent?

Maybe a masked Luchadore would have been better than whatever they are doing now...

NXT solid, CWC solid as fuck tonight. Gallagher has to get a contract right?

Already hyped as fuck for Athena debuting, been waiting on that for nearly a year after some point I expected they were holding off on it because they're going to make her debut important and she's going to be the new big thing in the division and it's looking more and more like that's what's going to happen with a Takeover debut.

Solid NXT.

I just... dont know what the hell Haitch are going to do in the Bayley-Asuka match.

Will he give the win to Bayley and walk out to the main roster to the first 2-time NXT Women Champion? Or give the win to Asuka to elevate her momentum of being the female lesnar?
Asuka is going to win. Ember Moon is the one destined to beat her.
This.

Bayley needs to move on, completely cement Asuka as a seemingly unstoppable monster, enter Ember Moon being build up to take her down. Whatever the new name for the O-Face is they damn well better protect the shit out of that move. I kind of wish they'd have her hold off on using it until Asuka but debuting at Takeover means they're going to definitely have her show case what she's capable of so whoever her opponent is is going to be killed by it.
When Bayley is put on the Main Roster, she needs to be the Smackdown Champion.

Sasha can face Dana, then Nia Jax, then...uh...Paige? Who else? Nikki?
Nikki is almost certainly going to Smackdown, Bayley is hopefully going there too because they need her more than Raw does.

WWE needs to have the women wrestlers all on one show.

Having a group of women chasing nothing is dumb even for wrestling.

(WWE will probably make two women's championships.)

I do wish they made women exclusive to one brand but that's not something Vince would've been receptive to, it would've been a better fit IMO to have women exclusive to Raw than a cruiser weight division. At least with the women split it should mean more spots to build stars within the ranks even if it's made both divisions really shallow and killed my hopes for a revival of the women's tag titles happening any time soon.
